Rose Marie is the best employee ever! She stayed 20 minutes late yesterday to fix my glasses. I called in a panic right at closing and she said she would gladly stay. I thought it was going to be a 5 minute job but it went way longer. She was happy to help me, and refused to accept any money for it. That is FANTASTIC customer service! You won't find that at some big box store.

Wow! What a wonderful experience! I had been back to the Big box store where I bought my glasses with progressive lenses several times. They couldn't get them right. When I could see well driving, I couldn't see my computer screen well. I went to the Optical Shoppe in La Plata with the idea that I would have to replace my glasses. Donna looked at the glasses, did some adjustments on my frames and my sight driving is great and I can see my computer screen well. I didn't have to replace them. It has been a month since the adjustments were made. The adjustments did the trick. My glasses are working well. Thanks, Donna!

A sign was posted on the door to knock before entering, so the dog wouldn't run out. Unfortunately I didn't see him/her but I did receive an amazing experience. I walked in with the broken temple part of the glasses and walked out in less than 5 minutes with fixed glasses. Would definitely recommend to others. It's clear they know what they are doing.

I have been using this business for about 12 years and have never been anything but delighted with the outcome. Why is twofold: First, for those folks interested in that kind of thing-Ms.Padgett has a exemplary curriculum vitae (i.e. resume). It is proven every time by her commitment to excellence, confidence, responsibility and dependability, honesty and ethics. She hails from working at one of our national level, premier eye institutes!
Second, I have a very complex and hard to fill prescription. Over the years, I have gone to at least 9 of the chain stores & regular run-of-the-mill optical shops-where it took them between 3 to 5 attempts to get it right, with several of them never being able to! Miss Padgett, on the other hand, has hit the prescription correct and solid -the first time, every time! What she does and how she does it is nothing short of magic! So if you're looking for quality, or, if you have a tricky prescription and are tired of hearing the tired excuse of having to give wonky (usually translates as badly made) prescription several weeks to until you adapt to it, give her a try!!
