I had an absolutely wonderful experience at MyEyeDr. in Waltham Woods (Parkville), and I specifically want to recognize Donna, the General Manager.
From the moment I walked in, she was professional, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. She helped guide me through selecting my glasses in a way that felt collaborative, not pressured. She gave thoughtful recommendations, explained options clearly, and made the entire process smooth and enjoyable.
What stood out most was her patience and professionalism when my FSA card initially declined because my benefits don't start until March 1st. Instead of making it awkward or stressful, she calmly reassured me and offered to securely hold my card information and run it once the benefits activate. That level of grace and problem-solving meant a lot.
She also took time to educate me about retinal health for my daughter, explaining how something as small as a freckle on the retina can be significant. That showed me she genuinely cares about patients and families, not just transactions.
Because of her leadership and customer care, I ended up purchasing six pairs of glasses with protection plans--and I left feeling confident, respected, and well taken care of.
It's rare to experience service that combines competence, warmth, and integrity at this level. I see exactly why she's the General Manager.
Highly recommend this location.
I have been a patient of MyEyeDoctor forever. Over time, the same doctor for several decades prior to his retirement, and several of the same office personnel for over a decade,, when at a different location. No issues at any time. The annual exams are complete, with a clear understanding of any concerns. The eyewear selection is varied. Never an issue with customer service during the appointment or after, if necessary..
Service is fine. Doctors care was adequate but not extraordinary. Glasses are acceptable quality. Picked up the final product to discover that cleaning solution is no longer included and now an extra charge. Next thing to go will be cleaning cloths and cases. They'll be an extra charge before we know it.
Dr. Iva Nosi is great! I love her and I'll happily recommend her to anyone looking for a new eye doctor. She answered all of my questions as I decided to try contacts instead of glasses.
The rest of the staff are friendly, knowledge and answered all of my questions. I love this location!
This use to be my location but I will be switching to Hunt Valley. I ordered contacts and never received a text, call, or email indicating that they had arrived. I decided to show up one day and there was three girls in the front office just sitting and scrolling on their phones not doing anything. I guess they are no longer making calls to their customers. Their customer service is horrible.
Absolutely not recommended. They misled me about accepting my insurance. They clearly said it was covered, but two weeks later I received a large unexpected bill. When I called to question it, they hid behind complicated insurance terms and conditions instead of taking responsibility. Very disappointing experience. Please avoid this place.
Have been going to this place for longer than I can remember. It was pretty much standard practice that when you picked up a new pair of glasses, you were given a cloth and at least one bottle of spray cleaner. I picked up a pair this morning, cost between $600 and $700, yet when I asked for a bottle of spray cleaner, was told they now charge for it! Yup, some bean counter decided they could make a few more dollars, by charging for those little bottles. Yet how much will be lost in good customer relations??
This place is the worse! Went here for an eye exam and glasses and went months before I pushed the issue of not receiving the frames that were ordered. Eventually, I cancelled the order... now my prescription is expired and I have to get another exam, but I have to pay out of pocket because my insurance won't cover another visit at this time. They won't make an exception even though they're the ones with poor communication! I wouldn't recommend this place to my worse enemy. Stay clear.
