The staff and Dr. McConerty were exceptional. The appointment ran on time (great since I was on my lunch hour). The Dr. was on point with my eye exam and follow up appointment about being new to contact lenses. Even the "class" they gave me was great!

There are opticians and there are opticians. Dr. McConarty operates more like an ophthalmologist. Using some very sophisticate equipment, his examination of me discovered a condition that was uncorrectable by an ordinary optometrical procedure, so referred me to an ophthalmological surgeon who corrected my vision in a simple, painless way. I left her office with 20/40 uncorrected vision and have since returned to Dr, McConarty for a new prescription that now gives me on almost 20/20 vision.

I have been going to the Village Eye Center for many years now to get my eye exams and to purchase glasses. I am very satisfied with them in both cases. Dr. McConnarty and Dr. Angeles both inspire great confidence in me that I am receiving the best vision care I can. I like their glasses so much that I am reusing the same frames and just putting in new lenses when my prescription changes.

I brought my 11-year-old daughter to see Dr. McConarty at Village Eye Center. We had an outstanding experience- far better than any other eye care our family had experienced in the area. Dr. McConarty has strong expertise and extensive knowledge in eye care. He was incredibly kind, thoughtful, thorough, and accessible to my daughter, making her feel comfortable throughout the visit. Dr. McConarty and the staff took extended time to explain everything clearly to my daughter and had patience in answering all of our questions. Every staff member was very responsive and friendly, making the entire process smooth and pleasant. I highly recommend this office for anyone seeking a caring and highly skilled eye doctor.

Dr. M and his staff are amazing! They have a wide selection of frames and was able to get the glasses made faster than anyone in the area.

Many thanks to Linda Taylor of Village Eye Center in Potomac. I could not replace some fancy sunglass lenses without proper tools and patience. Linda was extremely helpful in expertly repairing my glasses. Without her kind help the sunglasses would have been trashed. Thank you

Initially I had a great experience -- Linda was super helpful with figuring out which frames would properly fit prism lenses, and selecting a migraine tint to use that might help with my neurological issues. Being able to bring my frames in & get the lenses installed on 2 pairs in less than 2 hours was a huge perk. The lenses are a huge improvement to my daily life & I'm grateful to the skilled technician who installed them into my frames. Unfortunately, things took a turn after I picked up my glasses. I called to ask for my PD measurement and the staff who answered the phone refused to tell me. I just spent $800 here, & now they're refusing to give me the details of my own prescription! You won't give customers their information for the lenses YOU provided? That is insane to me. The reason I wanted to know my PD in the first place was to find out if any of my former frames might work to get refitted with prism lenses. Which I would have then brought in to get made here! The flat-out rude and degrading response to my request to know my own prescription info has ensured I will not be a returning customer. I am very disappointed about this, because it has been really difficult to find a place that knows how to make the lenses I need. Congrats to Julie on losing your establishment another $400+ lenses order & any chance of my being a yearly return customer.

Dr. McConarty takes superlative care of my family's vision! In addition, the selection of frames available at Village Eye is unparalleled in the DMV. If they don't have it, you don't want it.
