Kids Eye Care of Maryland

I had a wonderful experience at this eye doctor with my son. The front staff was very friendly and welcoming, and we were taken care of almost immediately our wait was only about 5-10 minutes for the first part of the visit, and another 10 minutes with the doctor. The doctor was fantastic super helpful and explained everything thoroughly, making sure we understood everything clearly. Highly recommend this office!

As a new customer, this was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a pediatric eye care practice. Honestly, a complete joke and total waste of time. If you have private insurance, stay far away from this place!! From the moment we walked in, things felt off. We were not greeted by the receptionist--just a sign-in sheet shoved toward us. Even though we arrived on time, we experienced an extremely long wait of over 35 minutes before we were even called back. When we finally got taken to the back, the tech did a few routine checks, then dialated my daughter's eyes. At 9:24 AM, she sent us back to the waiting room and told us to wait for the doctor. She did not mention anything about a long delay or that we'd be waiting an additional 30 minutes. After sitting another 15 minutes in an increasingly crowded waiting room, I went to the receptionist to ask how much longer it would be. She casually said, "It's a total of 30 minutes after dilation," with an attitude and zero sympathy. This was never communicated by the tech or anyone else. I asked for the office manager--she handed me a card with an attitude and said, "Thank you." That was it. I stepped outside and immediately called the office manager. From the moment I walked in, I had a bad feeling--and I should've trusted my gut. The practice felt completely disorganized. The waiting room was overflowing and chaotic. When I explained the situation to the manager, she told me they "usually tell patients that appointments can last up to two hours." This was never communicated when I made the appointment. Had I known, I never would have scheduled my daughter during a school morning. She missed school for absolutely nothing--we left without receiving any care. Save yourself the headache. There are far better practices out there that respect families' time and communicate professionally. This place is not one of them.

I was very pleased with the service here. I was able to get an appointment fairly quick for a vision screen referred by the school nurse. Admin and clinical staff are friendly. Dr. Cromelin was very thorough and has wonderful bedside manners. She even had one of my son's favorite character(Knuckles from Sonic) to engage him during the exam. We did not have the 2 hour wait time that a lot of folks have mentioned on here, to be honest we were in and out within an hour. We will come back next year a follow up as I was satisfied with the service.

We have seen Dr. Cheng recently. He was kind to us and answered all the questions we had. Front desk was super friendly. Will definitely go back to this practice.

Unfortunately, the wait times are consistently over an hour, which can be tough, especially with little ones. It's hard to keep kids patient for that long, and over an hour feels excessive for any appointment. We hope they can find a way to improve scheduling because we truly value the care we receive here. N.B We really love our doctor--kind, knowledgeable, and great with kids.

Horrible customer service! There's no way to cancel within 24 hours over the weekend. I waited for the clinic to open at 9am and was told that I will be charged for a cancellation fee! How can I call over the weekend to cancel if they cannot be reached??? Horrible! I told them that we will never go back to this clinic and I will spread the word on how they treat their clients!

My daughter loved the doctor! He is super good with kids!

Our experience was okay. The doctor was very kind and friendly with kids. We waited over an hour after the eye drops were placed. Kid friendly entertainment should be considered to keep them occupied during long wait times.
