I came to see Dr. Kim as a new patient with a complex set of eye-related issues. She and her very capable team performed an array of comprehensive tests, beyond what I think most offices are able to perform. Subsequently Dr. Kim sat down with me and explained everything in detail. She answered all of my questions at length and without rushing, giving me the sense that she really cares about her patients. Dr Kim's care shows both extremely high capability and kindness, a rare combination. I would highly recommend her and her team.

I think Dr. Kim is THE BEST!! I have had a variety of issues with my eyes, and I had cataract surgery on both eyes in 2019, and I could not ask for better care. Dr. Kim explains things clearly, helps me make good choices, and is extremely pleasant to deal with. She is also technically very skilled, according to other ophthalmologists that I have also seen for various specialty issues--she was commended for both "making a good catch" with one developing problem and for "doing an extraordinarily excellent job" with my surgeries. It's easy to get appointments, they run on time, the equipment works, and her office is very responsive for after hours emergencies. Staff is super nice.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kim's at the Maryland Eye Center for quite a few years now. Dr. Kim is extremely knowledgeable. I have some difficult eye issues, and I feel that I have always gotten the best of care. This includes cataract surgery as well. Her staff is friendly and accommodating as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Maryland Eye Center! They are just wonderful. Top marks !!!

I have no doubt Dr Kim has great knowledge and skills. However canceling appointments every single time is not acceptable. Then they never follow up. I wish her practice the best, it just was not for me.

Dr. Kim has been caring for the health of the eyes of my my husband, myself and our daughter for many years. We have found her to be caring, thorough, and always professional. Her explanations are understandable and complete, and she responds clearly to questions. I have found that in diagnosing and prescribing treatment, she looks beyond what's happening in the eye to consider other medical factors, such as potential side effects from systemic medications unrelated to the eye, and medical conditions, both diagnosed and undiagnosed that may impact the eye. I find her different from other physicians in that she is aware of medication costs, the patient's insurance, and offers coupons for prescribed medication, and even info on pharmacies that may have a better price. Although I highly recommend Dr. Kim, on the down side I should mention that I have experienced some rather long waits in her comfy and spacious waiting room.

Dr. Kim was recommended to me by coworkers. I see great reviews, and I have no doubt that she is an awesome doctor.
My issues are with the practice. I just called to schedule an appointment, and was told by the intake that my next routine is not until January 2022. I explained the issues I am experiencing now (blurred vision, eyes tearing up..), and I was told to get drops and try it out for 2 to 4 weeks to see if it would improve.
At my previous visit, I was asked to return with both my eye glasses so that Dr. Kim could see what was wrong with the prescription from my previous doctor (I didn`t have my progressive with me). I tried to set up a come back 3 times, and each time I was told we will call you back. I finally gave up.
And I am giving up on the practice now as I don`t feel like I matter at all. Just sharing.
