Myself and my wife are Dr. Roberts Patients for almost 10 years, recently moved from Rockville but still traveling 60 miles to our appointments and don't want to change.
Today we both walk into his office for our appointments and found out that our appointment is next week.
His office staff talk to doctor who was very busy but he accommodated to see us both of us without delay.
His whole team is very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and respectful.
Thank you Dr. for what you have done for us for last ten years.
If you are looking for an Opthamilogist, I strongly suggest, you will not go wrong.
After waiting three months to provide an objective review, I'd like to share my experience as both a patient and registered nurse (with over 2 decades of experience).
Upon arrival, I was greeted promptly at the front desk and led to an exam room by a technician. She was kind, efficient, and conducted a series of tests and assessments, which I appreciated.
Dr. Roberts came in soon after and quickly assessed my eyes. He suggested silicone tear duct implants (lacrimal plugs) or prescription drops to address my dry eye concerns. I asked him about the risks, benefits, and alternatives to the lacrimal plugs, as I always do with any treatment. Dr. Roberts seemed a bit flustered and animated in his response, explaining that the plugs were low-risk and would only last about three months. He also mentioned an "infinitesimal risk of infection." When I clarified that, as a nurse, I naturally advocate for myself, his tone softened, and he acknowledged this perspective.
I agreed to proceed with the lacrimal plugs. The procedure itself was straightforward, and Dr. Roberts used medical tweezers to place them. However, after the procedure, I noticed that he wiped the tweezers with an alcohol wipe and then placed them back in his pocket, which I found concerning. In my professional experience, medical instruments that come in direct contact with patients should be properly sterilized (usually through autoclaving) between uses. I raised this concern with Dr. Roberts, who assured me that the tweezers would be sterilized after the appointment. However, I was left uneasy about the lack of disposal, as I have never seen a doctor place used medical tools back in their pocket after using them on a patient.
Additionally, I experienced worsened dry eye symptoms for about three months following the placement of the plugs, though they are now returning to baseline.
Given my concerns about the sterility practices I observed, and the overall outcome of the procedure, I have decided not to return for further treatment.
Had my LASIK surgery 2 weeks ago and happy with the results. Dr. Roberts is very professional, knowledgeable and experienced. Staff is super helpful, very informative and quick from the moment you come in until you leave. Consultation was free and one of the staff members walked me through the entire process and Dr. Roberts has answered all my questions and concerns, plus gave me a great price.
My procedure was so quick and easy, with immediate results! My vision was 20/20 the next day. I would Highly recommend this place to friends and family.
Doctor Roberts is really great , he takes care of his patients and puts their wellbeing first. I highly recommend choosing Doctor Roberts, he performed Lasik eye surgery for my siblings and I and we all had amazing results within 24 hours, he checks up on us regularly and makes himself available for all his patients.
I had cataract surgery 2 days ago. Dr. Roberts and the entire staff are A#1 from start to finish. Dr. Roberts is extremely patient and caring and thoroughly explains ALL the details before, during and after surgery. Amazing to have sight restored with NO issues. The world is brighter now due to Dr. Roberts. The operation was seemless with NO discomfort at all. I'm thinking about growing a third eye just so I can have surgery again!!!
Dr.Anthony Roberts IS the Go-To surgeon!
Had the PRK surgery done about a week and a half ago and couldn't be happier with the results! Dr. Robert's does great work. I read some of the reviews on here and understand there were some complaints about long wait times. All I have to say is you only have two eyes. You want someone that is knowledgeable and takes their time with their patients. Patients have a lot of questions and Dr. Robert's has all the answers. So far I'm a little better than 20/20 and continuing to get better vision every day. Before the surgery my vision was -4.5 in both eyes with astigmatism. I would recommend Dr. Robert's to any family, friend or acquaintance without a doubt.
It is now one week since my cataract surgery with Dr. Roberts, and I'd like to share the high opinion in which I hold him and his entire staff. My surgery went well and my vision has improved rapidly and without incident. His office is efficient and visits there proceed like clock work. His surgical team is likewise very informative and professional. Sometime, in the not too distant future, I'm sure I will be requiring the same procedure for my other eye and I will for certain choose his professional services once again.
Dr. Roberts and staff are extremely attentive, professional and knowledgeable. I received Lasik here and couldn't be happier with the results, especially with the aftercare, which is critical post-treatment.
Whether it be a consultation, corrective procedure or basic eye exam, I recommend this office as a whole.
