Wilmer at Green Spring Station - Lutherville

You'll never be seen on time. Ever. Plan to spend your entire day there! This last time, my husband's appointment was at 3:00. We were on time. He was not seen until after closing, which is at 5:00. We missed our next appointment due to the excessive delay. The office wasn't even that busy! The doctor was chatting away, the nurses/assistants were just standing around and most of them left before we were seen - we had no idea what was going on but no one had any urgency to see patients whatsoever. We have been to Wilmer locations at Belcamp, Odenton, downtown - while there are often delays, none of those locations have ever been as bad as this, nor handled as lackadaisically as this one! Goodness sake. People have things to do!

I have been coming here for years to get glaucoma checks. I currently have no complaints. The staff and the doctors have been very nice. I used to see Dr McGlumphy who left the practice and now see Dr Jampel. They have both been attentive, respectful and informative. Usually the wait is not long at all. I am very happy with the professionalism at this location.

Dr St Clair is the best! He always has jokes which makes me feel comfortable, but best of all his medical understanding goes above and beyond and he helped me figure out an auto immune condition I didn't even know I had. I enjoyed my eye appt- things people never say . You can tell he actually cares and he always says to make another appt if I need to because he will figure it out if it continues (whatever it may be!). I feel taken care of every time. I actually hadn't seen him in about 5 years as I had moved to Michigan, and moved back to MD and he remembered me! My favorite thing from this appt is that I felt kind of weird about potentially wearing tinted migraine glasses, so he pulled up celebrities that wear them and now I feel cool. Who does that? He's the best, like I said. Also, shoutout to Tamika at the front desk for being sweet, helpful and funny, too. I recommend going here for sure.

I have never been so ignored and disappointed in any of the doctors that I have seen at Hopkins until now. I was 20 mins late arriving to my urgent care appt due to a car accident and Dr. John Baur definitely punished me for it. Mind you, I called to report the situation and was told to still come in, he will see me. I arrived at 9a and still was not seen by him as of 12pm. He never even acknowledged me. I was told that he said, "she was late, so she has to wait". Mind you- my eyes were dilated and it was wearing off by that time. 20 mins late to be punished for 3 hours plus is totally unfair. Patients wait for late doctors, yet when it comes to them, they have no empathy?? Side note: The staff were really helpful though.

Absolutely incredible experience with Dr. Lauren Gormley. I am sensitive to the eyedrops and any eye testing. Her patience, gentle way and kindness was greatly appreciated. Highly recommend .

Had an appointment with Dr Soiberman yesterday, and I've never felt so ignored by a doctor. I've always been that person who asks the Dr questions if I don't understand what he or she is telling me. Dr Soiberman talked over me, asked me questions and didn't wait long enough to hear my answer. I have MAJOR respect for all doctors, but this is the first time in my 66 years that I've been moved to write a review like this.

I purchased 3 pairs of glasses and paid for them. When the glasses came in 3 weeks later and I tried them on- my vision was not correct. I went back to my ophthalmologist ( had to wait a couple of months for the appt) and had another eye exam. My prescription was changed. When I tried out the glasses with the new prescription with the frame I initially picked out, the frame was too heavy on my nose. Wilmer optical in Columbia, Md. said too much time passed and they would not change the frame. They also said it they could change the frames and there was a difference in price, they would not refund the difference. . My script was wrong and I had to wait for another appt. to see my dr. Wilmer optical does not care about their clientele- it's just a money making operation. My script was wrong and all they cared about was their money.

Having relocated back to Baltimore, I needed to see a retina ophthalmologist to follow-up on a recent surgery. The dr who did the surgery in FL sees me every 6-months. The Wilmer dr said she doesn't need to see me again, even though the L-retina pucker could tear, and I have a small retina pucker on the R-side. I told her I needed an ophthalmologist (which I've done my entire life) to have my eyes examined. She said she was referring me to an optometrist. Optometrists are NOT medical drs. I've had 4-eye surgeries in the past 2-years. No photos were taken of my eye - something that my Retina opthamalogist and my regular opthamalogist do every time they see me. I was a new patient at Wilmer and it was a half-a**ed exam. The medical records that I sent in last week had not been given to the dr. I had to find an employee and ask them to look for the records so that my dr could see my surgery records. They were there for over a week and never given to the dr. The dr did not say goodbye to me; her greeting was less than friendly. She got up and left the room when she was done. No one came to get me. I walked back to the lobby, got in line to make the appt w/an ophthalmologist. I was scheduled with an optometrist (even as I complained.) I will not be keeping that appointment. I will find another practice. This is not what I expected from Hopkins.
