Dr. Michael Abrams

I took my son for an eye appt since his last eye doctor no longer took our insurance. It had been a few year since my son and I were told he needed glasses especially when using electronics. My son is autistic (mildly) but has difficultly when it comes to medical providers. After explaining to him that my son's father usually takes him to the doctors, Dr. Abrams processes to put the eye drops in my son's eye with explaining first hand. He did one eye when my son screamed and tried getting out the chair in panic, there he tried putting my son in a head lock before my son got out of the chair. I had to explain to my son that the eye drops needed to go in order for the doctor to do the exam. After calmly explaining that it was one drop in the other eye my son agreed to doing it. Afterwards the doctor stated he did not need glasses since he has 20/20 vision. We left, while in the truck my son broke down and said he NEVER wants to visit Dr. Abrams again. Talk about traumatizing an autistic child.

Dr. Abrams was quick but thorough in his examination of our infant son. His setup gave the impression that he very much knew what he was doing when it came time to actually interact with children and keep them focused for assessment in a fun way. You could also tell by his methods that he was very well experienced and calm in his approach. One of the most pleasant visits our son has had with a doctor yet. Only thing to keep in mind is the 40 minutes it takes for the drops to dilate the eyes. Other than that, he was very respectful in his diagnoses and answering all of our questions. Highly recommend!

Great experience. At the start of the first appt it's explained how the practice operates, so you know what to expect, which was helpful. The system they have is well organized and efficient. Dr. Abrams was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Very happy with our experience there and the level of care for our son.

Dr. Abram was excellent for my 5 y.o. Very quick, very detailed and to the point, got a prescription the same day with recommendations and simple next steps... he even made us laugh a time or two. Thanks Doc!

Dr. Michael Abrams is a caring, no nonsense doctor who gets the job done. He chats with the patient (my 11 year old) throughout the eye exam and answers every question my kid had. Highly recommend.

The reception ladies are polite and friendly. Dr Abrams is nice, very knowledgeable, thorough and is patient with my daughter. Dr Abrams did surgery on my daughter's eyes and she had no issues. Highly recommend!

First time taking my son to Abrams practice he was proficient timing was impeccable with how many ppl came in after us and he was polite and straight to the point. I like him. I do recommend.

While I have alot of faith in Dr Abrams himself. The experience that I just had was uncalled for an a reflection of your company. I had someone call while I was in hospital and I understand there are rules but for me to be hung up on called a liar and gaslight is insane. I was hung up on multiple times and spoke down to and even had my therapist who I was ending a session with as I called in shock. The woman I spoke to was Kryzia and my friend called while I was in hospital. She strongly believesthis is a way to weed out people "they don't like".I hope this is not true. While I have faith in the Dr. Some of those staff members are by far rude and belittling to you.
