I had an excellent experience at the Eye Physicians of Northampton. All of my appointments were were convenient for me and they all ran smoothly with very little wait time. Most importantly, I received the highest quality care for my condition. I ended up needing eyelid surgery and was referred to Dr. Gal. Immediately, she impressed me with her professionalism and skill, which put me at ease throughout the whole process. I appreciated that she offered such a kind and caring manner, and that she kept me informed from my first consult through the follow-up. Thanks to her, my condition has been fully resolved and I am so grateful for the care I received. I recommend the Eye Physicians of Northampton to anyone needing eye care.

From the moment Dr. David Shield began examining my eyes I knew my surgery for cataracts in both eyes was in capable hands. He explained the procedure thoroughly and was patient in answering my questions. The days of my surgeries my anxiety vanished and I felt happy that I would not need the glasses I have worn for nearly 60 years. Have been going to Dr. Gal for several years and very happy with her professionalism and communication. Along with annual eye exams, she also did a successful Ptosis Eyelid surgery. The staff has been very helpful and attentive to my special needs in a wheelchair. I would recommend this practice.

Dr. Gal did eyelid surgery on me four weeks ago. I was very happy with the outcome. A great visible difference can be seen. Dr. Gal made me feel very comfortable because I was awake for the procedure, with mild sedation. I highly recommend her, and staff.

Dr Shield and Bill and the surgery nursing staff were wonderful. Kind, compassionate and explained things clearly & honestly as we went along; said this might sting or hurt ahead of each move which I really appreciated. Dr Shield did a thoughtful and exacting job with both my cataract surgeries. Can't recommend him & his surgical staff enough; and there were also a couple wonderful staff members at his Northampton office.

I could not be more pleased. He and his team kept me informed in advance, and at each stage of the procedure and post-procedure exam. Dr. Shield's surgery was about as perfect as I could have wished. I am delighted with my improved vision, and grateful for the care I received. He and his team made me fell as if I was the only patient they needed to care for.

Honestly, I questioned if I really wanted to have cataract surgery even though I was struggling to drive at night and other aspects of my cataracts were negatively impacting my quality of life. I now have 20/20 eyesight in both eyes. I had worn glasses since I was 7 years old and I cannot remember a time in my life that I have seen the world clearly, that is until now. Dr. Shatz is the most skilled surgeon I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Dr. Shatz and his staff were beyond thorough with preparing me for surgery. The office is completely organized and every person who works at both of his offices and at the cataract surgical center are kind and compassionate. The actual surgery is quick, pain free, lasts just about 20 minutes, and within hours I was able to see like never before in my life. In closing, Dr. Shatz is a gifted surgeon with a bedside manner that is beyond commendable. I would recommend Dr. Shatz without any hesitation to all who are considering cataract surgery.
