Boston Vision

I am extremely disappointed by my experience and have never had an experience like this at an eye doctor before. I don't understand how you can be charged so much for a 3 min appointment where the doctor has his back turned to you longer than he is listening my appointment was at 10:05 and no one informed me that my eyes would need to be dilated so I am grateful my husband came anyways or i wouldve been screwed. I have never had them dilated and they did not explain it to me beforehand (but the nurse checked the box on her computer that she informed the patient of expectations and risks) they took me back to dilate my eyes and take photos and then they said it would be another hour wait, placed me in a smaller waiting area. because they did not explain dilation to me i had a panic attack because I was losing my vision (which would have been alleviated if they informed me properly). it seemed like this extra hour wait was part of their protocol because everyone in this smaller waiting area was frustrated with this. I was not taken to the exam room to see the doctor until 11am, and by the time I was brought to the front to check out it was 11:05. it is disappointing to have to pay so much for an appointment that is so short and aren't heard in. he asked why I was there and I gave him a list of my symptoms and he said "this is a lot im just going to listen to the referral." so 1. why did you ask why i am here and 2. why would you not listen to your patient? I'm not really sure why someone would become a doctor if they didn't care to help people figure out why they feel a certain way. I am extremely upset that no one informed me of the dilation and extra waiting time in advance to make proper arrangements. I left my appointment in tears due to stress and feeling unheard.

Felt my visit was very thorough. No time wasted. Any questions asked were answered thoroughly, no feeling of being imposed upon. Very welcoming and friendly. Something is about how we receive and perceive. The world doesn't cater to us. Anyone can have an off moment or day... how often we as the public expect those that assist us to be mind readers and/ or to tolerate our often not very kind attitude with a smile and it's still not enough...oooh the entitled who are not entitled per se. We are all allowed measures of simple human kindness. At Boston Vision in Brookline yesterday I was thrilled and proud to have experienced this and more!

My husband and I both had CLE surgery with Dr Vinny Keshav and LAL treatments with Dr Nagle in Andover. We were nervous before the surgery but the team at Boston Vision were reassuring and the surgery went smoothly. The LAL treatments were really effective in getting us to the focal points we wanted for reading and long distance. One year later, my husband and I are still so happy we had the eye surgery.

At 60 years old after 20 years of having to wear glasses and not happy with contact lenses, and after reading all the success stories , my wife and I decided to have the clear lens extraction (CLE) with light adjustable lens (LAL). Its been over a year and I can read, and see everything crystal clear without having to fumble with glasses. I'm so glad we did it and I have recommended Boston Vision and Dr. Keshav to all of my friends.

It is amazing to me that we have the technology and expertise to cut open someone's eyes with a laser, burn off just the right bits, and put everything back together, all in less than 15 minutes and they can walk out the door with a pair of sunglasses. I was back to 95% in a day, and 100% in a week. The procedure was quick, and although it was mildly uncomfortable, that was it. I went home and took the 4 hour nap, stayed in a dark room the rest of the day, and returned to pretty much all normal activity the next day. I used the drops as suggested, and my eyes were back to feeling completely normal after a week. The staff at Boston Vision are extremely competent and professional.

I had LASIK 6 days ago with Dr. Brenner and it is already life changing! I can't believe I waited so long to do this. I had always been curious but thought maybe I would get through child birth years, let technology advance, etc. My eyes had become too tired to handle the astigmatism contact lenses for more than a couple hours. Now I can see with no hassle - can't wait to do things I could never fully appreciate before - anything from snorkeling to just falling asleep without any additional steps! I took care to be extra hydrated before and after surgery with cutting back on/out caffeine and alcohol and taking fish oil, but I don't know that those steps were necessary as much as helpful for me in feeling like I was doing my best to prepare.

I live in Northern Maine where there really aren't any good eye doctors or clinics. So when I decided to look into getting LASIK for my astigmatism, I started looking around for a good clinic. I found Boston Vision, noticed that they have stellar reviews and that they use the most modern technology available to get the best results possible. I knew that this was where I wanted to go for the procedure and it just happened to be somewhat close to home which was a plus. For the initial consultation I met with several members of the team and was impressed by their professionalism. Before the surgery, Dr. Melki made sure to set my expectations and answer any questions I had. And now that the surgery is completed, my moderate astigmatism has been corrected using cutting-edge WaveLight+ technology. I can see clearly out of both eyes without glasses or contacts for the first time since childhood. I'm very happy that I made the decision to get Lasik, grateful that I had Dr. Melki and his team for the procedure, and I couldn't be happier with the results!

The staff at Boston Vision shows excellent care for the patients. Prepping the patient so they would be ready to see the doctor, and ask questions if necessary. I had a great checkup appointment .
