Dr. Michael W. Border

Dr border growled at my two year old not once but twice and scared her. After asked to stop he said kids like it, obviously not. He was rude to my wife and myself when asked questions about dialation of eyes. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I wouldn't send my ex wife to see him. Find another, more courteous doctor for your children. The girls at the front desk will agree.

This doctor had atrocious manners. Uncaring, lacking in professionalism, completely devoid of attending to a patient in a courteous way. My friend and I both saw this doctor recently and when we were done with our appointments we left shaking our heads and saying wow this doctor does not care about his patients at all. He diagnosed me with a severe eye problem however rather than helping me with said eye problem I was advised he cant see me again until another 4 months. Despite the fact that the vision in one eye is bad and getting worse by the day he still wouldn't accommodate me by seeing me sooner and doing surgery which he said will improve my vision. By the time this doctor sees me again I will most likely be totally blind rather than partially blind. Needless to say I am no fan of this guy

My mother went to him and he was very dismissive of her eye problems and acted totally disinterested and like he couldn't be bothered. On top of that, he did not bother to wear a mask or to even WASH HIS HANDS before examining her. Gross, and dangerous.

I never write reviews but i felt people need to know since I do check Drs. reviews when searching for a new Dr. This man is the most uncaring, rude and abrupt human being. My eye Dr. recently retired and I hadn't found a new one yet. I had been suffering with my first ever stye and despite doing all I could at home for days, it was only getting worse. It was high up inside my upper lid. The pain and tenderness was growing above my eyebrow and i could tell the infection was getting worse. I called around & got an appt. that day with Dr. Border. In the short time he saw me, he told me that a stye isn't even an infection and if it still hurts to blink in 2 months come back. I was devastated because I knew a stye was an infection and I also knew I was losing the battle to fight it at home. As I was leaving the nurse asked how it went and I burst into tears and explained. She quietly brought me to another exam room to get a second opinion from Dr. Mahony. About 10 mins later Dr. Mahony came in and was so sweet and compassionate. Nothing was said about what I just experienced. I know that it would be unprofessional for her to say anything about Dr. Border. She relieved some pressure from the stye and sent me home with a prescription for a Z- Pak. and specific instructions on how to help heal it. I can't thank Dr Mahony and the kind nurse enough for helping me. I'm extremely grateful for them. If you do go to Harrington Ophthalmology, make sure you are seeing Dr. Mahony. She is amazing.

I never write reviews but felt I had to in this case! Worst experience I have ever had in my life with dealing with the medical profession. Please, please, please DO NOT take your children here!!!!! Too many red flags and things wrong with this place to even list! Just save yourself and your children from experiencing the trauma we just went through with this office and Dr. Border!!!

Not good with children and the optician somehow did not take our insurance even though the office itself did. So we waited over 2 hours and still have to go somewhere else to actually get classes. :(

avoid this place at all cost ! went there over 4 times in a year they kept giving my daughter wrong eye precription . saying she was -7 something and -5 something . finally got money to go to somewhere else her eyes are -5 and -.50 way offfffffffffff just awful spent so much at this place seems like they just dont care glad i went somewhere else now daughter can see

I had no problem at all with my appointment. The doctor and staff were professional and efficient.
