I would not recommend Dr Mahoney she kept cancelling my appointments emergency kept coming up, 3 times it was cancelled. The day before my surgery they called and cancelled it because of my medical health.

Excellent doctor but BE PREPARED for the office staff to be Out Of Sync. The wait time to get in the office and time of waiting alone in the office is unbelievable, you are not in and out, prepare for 90 minutes minimum for a 10 minute visit! Messages on MyChart are not being answered without multiple requests. With that being said, Dr. Mahony has been great, explains in detail and very thorough. My surgery went great.

I was calling to make a appointment, and they take few minutes to answer ,and when the receptionist answers with attitude hello i said can i make a appointment she yell at me NOOO and then say hold on ! And tranfer my call to a voicemail i was like .this is so rude and disrespectful

I took my mother to Dr Mahony, The clinic was efficient and I waited only 15 minutes before being called. When we saw Dr Mahony she was very thorough, professional, and courteous in her manner and explanation of my mother's condition. I recommend her highly and have referred several friends to her.

I felt I needed to write this review to warn people of this practice. I had originally called to schedule an appointment with Dr. Mahoney for my 6 y/o daughter. I always check google reviews before going to see anyone and she had none but I decided to go through with the appointment anyways as she had been recommended by another practice that didn't accept our insurance. Upon arrival at the office I was told our appointment was not with Dr. Mahoney as she doesn't even see children but instead that we would be seeing Dr. Border (none of this was told to me on the phone when I scheduled). If I had been aware I would've looked him up prior to the appointment and most definitely not have gone through with it based upon all his reviews. Please, please, please DO NOT take your children to this practice!!!! That man has no business calling himself a medical professional or being anywhere near children ever!!

Highly recommend. Dr. Mahoney is exceptionally knowledgeable in her field. She takes her time to answer my questions and makes sure I have all the information to understand my health. Has kind and helpful staff.

I wouldn't recommend this eye practice. First I started with Dr. Border(other Doc at practice)reception average. I got the basic eye exam then Dr. Border my first impression of him was he was shuffling through my paperwork like he was unorganized. I finally got my glasses I tried them on and they were not my glasses so I had to go through another exam. I finally got the right glasses after that disaster. Now for Dr. Mahoney my impression was ok although I waited almost 30 minutes before she came in. I went through the process but I had some questions about one eye that was more puffy than the other and she said she knew a good plastic surgeon. She didn't even answer the original question very unprofessional and rude. I stuck with her one for one more visit. I arrived at my appt. I waited about half hour to 45 minutes and finally was called. Then what really made me angry I waited another 15 minutes and as she was walking by said I was next. She then was walking in to my room then encountered her next appt. walking by and then she told me hold on and then actually made me wait for after the next appt. that was after me. I did not go back after that and I would advise to not go to this practice.

I was helping my 18 year old daughter make an eye appointment at the Harrington, Charlton eye center. Dr Mahoney is the only one at that charlton eye center now. At first the receptionist said Dr. Mahoney doesn't take kids to which I replied she is 18. The receptionist then replied that Dr. Mahoney doesn't take regular eye checks, try an optometrist. When I said she has special eye issues and needs an ophthalmologist, not an optometrist I was told Dr. Mahoney doesn't take patients that young. The receptionist offered I try Dr. Cooper, also with the Harrington system. To which I replied, yes, well he is the one that missed both my kids eye issues when they were younger, no thanks. My thoughts are, only seek out Dr. Mahoney if you have well paying insurance- why else would an adult needing an opthamologist be refused?
