I am a recent Lasik patient of Dr. Shatz and i cannot thank him enough! He was wonderful! He took his time to explain all of the procedure to me and made me feel extremely comfortable and I couldn't be happier with my current 20/20 vision after all of these years! I can finally see without contacts or glasses! If you are contemplating getting Lasik then do yourself a favor and go see Dr. Shatz!

I have had two cataract surgeries and two corneal transplants from Dr. Shatz. He is an exceptionally good surgeon. I felt complete confidence in him as he diagnosed and explained my vision problems. I felt the same confidence in the surgical and post-surgical care I received from him. I highly recommend him.

Recently I had Lasik done with Dr. Shatz and I'm so happy I did it! He is very kind and reassuring, and talked me through everything, even during the procedure as it was happening. I was nervous, but he made the whole process very easy and comfortable, and I couldn't be happier being able to see without glasses or contacts now. Thank you!!!!

Dr. Shatz has done four procedures on my eyes, removing a growth from my retina, installing two Toric lenses to correct for astigmatism and cataracts, and a little laser tweaking. What a wonderful doctor. Totally professional, nice guy and a superb physician. I can't recommend this great doctor highly enough.

My husband has been to him a few times now with a corneal abrasion. Dr. Shatz is amazing. Very professional and he actually listened to what we were saying. He made my husband feel very comfortable with his surgery. Highly recommend!!!!!

Dr.Shatz is by far the best Ophthalmologist I have met. His bedside manner keeps you calm and focused on the plan. He is thorough and takes his time even if the office is running behind. During my LASIK surgery he kept me talking throughout and explained everything as it happened. He calmed me down when my eyes started to dart back and forth and it was over before I knew it. My follow up appointment was a piece of cake and I have 20/20 vision. At Eye Physicians of Northampton I had the same Assistant during my consult and follow up. He even was the one to call me to check is after my surgery. Peter was awesome, he was professional and knowledgeable. He remembered things we had talked about in previous appointments and I really felt connected with everyone who was involved in the process. I can say that I will continue to go to Dr.Shatz for all my eye care needs in the future!

Dr. Shatz performed my LASIK surgery. He was extremely kind, helpful, and professional throughout the process. He answered all of my questions with a keen sense of interpersonal care and was very thorough in explaining the procedure/after care treatment. I was referred to him by a close friend, who he also performed LASIK on a few years prior. In less than a days time I had perfect vision and was able to drive to my post op appointment without the need or guidance of my former prescription glasses. Consulted with Dr Shatz at his office in Florence and Amherst and went through multifocal lens implant surgeries with him at West Springfield Cataract and Laser Center West. Highly recommend working with him and that surgery Center. Very good experience and excellent follow up care.
