Totally misdiagnosed after extensive testing by Dr. Jones staff a few years ago. Ended up going to Mass Eye and Ear, Boston, and was told by Dr. Roche that I in no way had bilateral vestibular hypofunction as told by the Mashpee office of Dr. Jones. Dr. Jones was a cold, poker faced, arrogant, non-listener who wanted to play a guessing game with my life! At that time I was 50 years old, I am now 65 and continue to suffer with PPPD that is manageable and I have a good quality of life climbing ladders and racing bicycles to this day! My only problem with Mass Eye and Ear, Boston, is that they allow the Mashpee office ride off their good name!! Stay away from the Mashpee office and go to Boston. Even the office staff will treat you like a human.
I brought my Aunt here in October 2024 to Mass Brigham Eye and Ear in Mashpee. Dr Dilger was the Dr she saw.
My Aunt was having difficulty hearing and breathing so I was in the process of getting her a walking oxygen system. We were unfortunately 8 minutes late for the appointment. There was no other patient that we saw the whole 30 minutes we were there. My Aunt has breast cancer, lung cancer, and melanoma that had metastasized to her brain. She had brain surgery to remove a tumor August 6 2024. I give you all these details so that you understand the cruelty of the office staff she endured hoping to get help with her hearing. Since, we were 8 minutes late and immediately informed that we would have to possibly reschedule I let them know that we understood and that it was no problem but my poor Aunt wanted to be seen so we waited. I sat down because I could tell no one was in there and they were going to make us wait due to our 8 minute tardiness.my Aunt looked at me and asked why was was sitting and I explained that they were punishing her due to being late. We waited, which was fine, my Aunt was having so much difficulty moving just getting there was an accomplishment. They eventually told us it was ok and brought us to a room and we got her out of the wheelchair into the drs chair which was very difficult for her. Once she was seated another office staff employee came in and told us we had to move rooms. I knew that they were punishing an 86 year old woman with heart complications, low kidney function an awful moving oxygen rate and 3 kinds of cancer to another room and another chair. It was awful. When the Dr came in she wasn't nice to my Aunt and it wasn't until she saw the kindness of my poor Aunt that she changed her attitude to her. Shame on you all for your abhorrent treatment of this wonderful woman who only wanted some compassion. She passed away in November and I still am haunted by the way your office treated her.
Dr. Jones is a wonderfully personable physician who made me feel relaxed just by his approach. I went into his office a bit nervous because of "something" on the left of my throat. He didn't make light of it but he also didn't feel there was any need for alarm. Dr. Jones' explanation of what he believed he was seeing was very interesting because it included his observation that when my tonsils had been removed (so many years ago, I couldn't tell him when), part of the left tonsil is still there.....which he believed might be part of the problem. He took a biopsy and culture, and in about a week he was able to reassure me that all was benign. I didn't have to wait very long to feel relieved. His whole staff, from the front desk on, are very pleasant in a real way. His up-to-date approach with patient information is admirable. I totally recommend Dr. Jones and you can count on his support staff. June McLaughlin
My 6 y/o needed her adenoids removed. We could not have asked for a better experience. A surgery is scary for anyone. Dr. Jones and his staff were so caring and attentive to me and my daughter, All our questions were answered and the procedure explained completely. She had the quickest recovery with very little pain. In fact for lunch that day she could eat chips without and discomfort (not sure I should have fed her that but she felt great) She had the healthiest year and her sleeping improved. I would completely recommend Dr. Jones and his Staff.According to my daughter, Dr Jones also has the best treasure chest!
Ive had 4 ear sugeries with Dr.Jones and one while i was very pregnant and he took the best care of me and my unborn child. I wont let anyone touch my ears beside Dr.Jones he has a great bedside manner, listens and pays attention to your concerns. Doesn't rush you or always have his face in the computer like most drs now a days.. I recommend him highly. And his staff is phenomenal :)
I have been a patient of Dr. Jones for several years. His current practice associates and staff are wonderful, courteous people. Dr. Jones is among the most thorough, professional, and friendly MDs I have had the pleasure of interacting with over the years (I am now retired). I highly recommend him and his associates and staff in his practice..
We got a call from the scheduler, who said we would see a doctor for TMJ (jaw), but we had expected the hearing tests. Then, after over an hour of waiting, the doctor asked us why we did not have any Hearing test arranged with this new patient visit. We told Dr a scheduler said we would get another visit for Hearing, but, we had never discussed the Jaw referral with our PCP.
I think the confusion from this clinic is beyond the word wasting our time and money.
And, we traveled almost 8 plus hours just to be sent home. And, the scheduler, and the manager who oversaw this 1st visit just disappeared and did not get back to us.
The receptionist (who said we had a booking of TMJ) was an older female, black, and, she was watching something very provocative-sounding video, with female MOANING on her Smartphone, that we could all hear in the waiting room. When a new visitor arrived, just like she had yelled on the phone to us, and hung up, and, she victimized others of non-white, or foreign patients. She never raised her voice to the White patient. And, we totally wasted our 1st visit but no one would take the complaint.
And, this is how they would make money. We felt this was like an assembly line of a factory, that is including the DR we saw.
Shame on them all. Stress added from the visit of this clinic, when the Clinic should help to eliminate our stress factors of life.
When I arrived I was payed attention to immediately. I felt welcomed. I did have to go through some modern sign ups, but I know that now that I am in their system it will be so much easier which I have already experienced. And Craig was as welcoming as his office and he was through and I know he will spend time with me to make sure I am getting the right treatment for what hearing issues I am facing. He exudes truth and reality and therefore I have great confidence in him. Richard Mastromatteo
