Dr. Randall Patkin, MD

I've been going to Dr Patkin since my son needed to be seen at around three years old. My son is now 30yo and lives out of state. He has patience to answer any questions that I may have about my own eye care. I find everyone who works in his office to be very friendly and caring.

The experience my daughter had with this office was completely demeaning, unprofessional and resulted in denying her appointment after her driving more than an hour in heavy traffic. She was called ten minutes before the appointment and told it was cancelled because she had no referral from her primary care physician, despite the fact she had a 20 year history with this practice and fully paid every bill. When I complained I was told it was office policy. My daughter was denied medical care for a non related paperwork issue. I intend to pursue this issue with state and federal medical and licensing authorities. Meantime I warn anyone to avoid this practice and locate a practitioner with acceptable practices.

I called today to book an appointment because my previous eye doctor no longer accepts my insurance. While trying to book the appointment, the woman on the phone yelled at me several times after I asked her kindly to explain something I did not understand. It was very rude and unprofessional, and her demeanor left me feeling very embarrassed because I did not understand what she was saying. Don't go here unless you want to be yelled at.
