Dr Zhuoying Gu was absolutely amazing. Her and the team treated me like all that was important was me that day. I was scared to death! But I did what she told me which was the most important thing I could do for her...which was not to move..to be very still. I did that and my vision is coming back great...within two days it was better...and the kicker for me is that I had absolutely no pain at all ..ZERO which was a miracle to me. I have no pain and it's been five days now. I'm doing my drops four times a day with the cleanest hands possible, and wearing the guard faithfully. I trust Dr Gu for life now as I couldn't see well at all in my right eye. There was no arrogance in her just pure confidence. Get Dr Gu and be as still as a squirrel on a tree trunk as if a hawk was waiting for you on the branch. Be still and she will take care of you!

Review - CHA Eye Center, Somerville Campus I went to the CHA Eye Center for a routine eye exam, simply to check whether I needed to update my glasses prescription, and I left with an immense sense of gratitude for the care I received. From the very beginning, everything was excellent. The doctor who examined me was truly wonderful -- she treated me with the care and calmness of a mother. She was patient, attentive, compassionate, and communicated so clearly that there was no need for an interpreter, which made me feel extremely comfortable and safe. During the exam, she identified an issue behind my eye that, if not treated urgently, could have led to blindness. The way everything was handled was outstanding: fast, well-organized, and highly professional. By the very next morning, I was seen by a specialist who acted immediately to prevent a more serious problem. The laser surgery was smooth, calm, and reassuring. At no point did I feel unsafe. On the contrary, I felt supported, respected, and well cared for throughout the entire process. I would like to congratulate the entire CHA Eye Center team and the hospital staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. I am deeply grateful for the excellent care they provided and for protecting my vision and my health. She took the time to listen, explained everything clearly and in a very didactic way, and made the entire eye exam comfortable and reassuring. I was very disappointed with my recent visit to the ophthalmology clinic . The workflow felt disorganized, and the entire process seemed poorly managed. The delays and confusion appeared to stem from management issues rather than the clinical staff themselves. I hope the department manager takes responsibility and improves the coordination and patient flow, because the doctors and nurses deserve a more supportive system to work in, and patients deserve a smoother experience.

The doctor that I seen there was wonderful the best doctor ever. I know I'm not gonna see her every year, but I'm gonna miss her, but she said if I need her for any emergency, I can see her but she was great helping me out thank you very much. I appreciate the help that y'all gave me their that day.

The entire appointment was great. Whole staff very nice. Dr. Barott takes time to explain everything and puts you at ease.
