Unfortunately, my experience at this practice was ruined entirely by the front desk receptionist's attitude.
1st visit - After my eye appointment, I asked for a printed prescription so I could have glasses made immediately. Instead of simply providing it or explaining the process politely, the receptionist responded with a snarky comment that it would be mailed. When I reiterated that I preferred a printed copy, she made an inappropriate and sarcastic remark implying that I "believe in cutting trees." This was unnecessary, unprofessional, and disrespectful.
Today visit - During a separate visit, I received an urgent phone call. Rather than politely asking me to step outside, the same receptionist abruptly told me to leave the office to take the call. The tone was rude and hostile.
Two separate interactions with the same receptionist were enough to make it clear that customer service is not a priority here. While the doctor was fine, the front desk attitude was unacceptable. I will not be returning and would not recommend this practice to anyone unless the front desk behavior is addressed.
I have had two great eye exams at Goswick, my issue is with the optical department. I had an exam and then ordered my own frames and brought them in to the Sudbury location to get lenses made on 2/17/22. I paid $239 for the lenses and on 2/18 I received a call that they forgot to charge me an additional $48 on those lenses and that they couldn't complete the order until I paid. The idea of paying $287 for lenses only, and the fact that they wouldn't waive the $48 fee that they forgot to charge me, rubbed me the wrong way and I ended up buying the same exact frames again plus lenses online where I purchased the frame- the lenses online were $51.
When I called Goswick to cancel the lens order they told me that the lenses were already made (but you said you couldn't complete my order until I paid an additional $48?) and that if I wanted to cancel the lenses there would be a $50 fee. They also said they had decided to waive the $48 fee for me (that's great but you should have waived it in the first place, not once I threatened to cancel). After some back & forth emails I said fine, as long as you don't charge me any more money go ahead and complete my glasses and mail them to me as promised.
On March 3rd I was told "We are happy to continue the order, which can be in the mail or picked up in our Northborough office as soon as tomorrow afternoon." On March 4th I responded to the email and said yes, complete the order.
Fast forward to March 15th, 11 days later, when I email to ask where my glasses are. The response? "It looks like your lenses were sent to us today and will be edged into your frame tomorrow." Excuse me? They were finally mailed to me March 18 and I received them March 22.
Here are my two pairs of identical frames. One finished pair cost me $86 and the other pair cost me $322. I would return to Goswick for eye exams in the future but I will not purchase any more glasses or lenses from them.

It was my first time coming to Goswick Eye - Sudbury and I have not one negative thing to say about my entire experience. Everyone was super helpful and patient, and professional. Collins was the nicest and most professional person. He answered every question I had and made sure he could help in every way! 10/10!
I had a great appointment here! The staff was so helpful and patient responding all my questions. When the time of picking my new glasses arrived they let me try many different options! I'm definitely coming back here!
We came originally for a second opinion and ended up getting glasses from here. I picked out a really snazzy pair. Everybody there is so nice and patient. They are really professional they answered all of my questions. I highly recommend.
During my last visit, I was really impressed with the communication from all staff. Every thing they did was explained to me before being done, which was really comforting. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and the team seems to enjoy working with one another which makes for a fabulous environment. I really enjoy Goswick Eye and highly recommend.
Great first eye exam experience! Their office has a pristine, inviting, ultra modern vibe. All of the staff was A+, from the people who check you in at the front desk, to the technician, and the doctor himself. They were all very thorough, kind, patient, and informative.
They did keep me waiting about 20 minutes past my appointment time before they took me in, but everyone was so great I'm not even going to deduct a star for it!
Excellent customer service for eye examination they due diligence and ask you questions about your eyes. Excellent work by Susie for getting your prescription glasses and a wonderful safe location in Sudbury
