Very disappointing experience. When I called to become a new patient, the receptionist asked if I had a recent eye exam. I said yes, about a year ago, and explained that my insurance renews every year. She rudely responded, "Well if it's recent, the insurance won't cover it," without actually listening to what I was saying.
I tried to clarify that it is a new year and asked if that meant my benefits would renew, but she was dismissive, rude, and unwilling to help. I was then denied as a new patient without any clear explanation, assistance, or effort to verify my coverage.
The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and overall handling of this felt negligent and extremely concerning. Patients deserve respect, transparency, and basic guidance especially when it comes to healthcare access. Honestly, their previous reviews explain it all
Not handicapped friendly. Receptionists rude, and did not even know the date, nor anything about billing. Cancel last minute, too. Now took two days off for nothing. Reported the glaring mistakes made to both my active insurances. They tried to get me to pay out of pocket. Zero Hippocratic Oath here. No empathy, nor respect for anyone's time. Beyond rude and not well educated on billing. Went elsewhere and it was everything wonderful, professional and efficient this place was NOT. Run, don't walk away from this shoddy business. They just care about money, NOT humans.
Made an appt for my oldest son who is 8 with Dr Willard. First appt went great. I had to attend with my other son who is 5 and has autism. Her medical assistant was very educated and knew how to handle kids and was very understanding. Next appt we went for a follow up there was another assistant which from the jump was very rude called my son out back didn't even wait for neither of us just went out back. Once we got into the room my youngest was on his tablet which is his comfort zone and will stay quietly on it she said to him put it down. I totally understand and put it down. She started the exam with my son and told him to read something from a card she handed to him once he was all set with the first row he kept going and she SNATCHED the card from his hand instead of telling him it's all set can I have it back. I told her that is no way to handle a child he can perfectly give it back to you if you ask. She then told me if I have a complaint to put it up with the front desk and I said I have no complaint to tell no one I am telling her she then proceeded to give me attitude and treat my kids like straight up garbage. At this point I told her I don't want to work with her and prefer someone else she then tells me I need to leave the room so she can help the next patients and the doctor will call us in. I did not leave the room and waited for the doc. Doc came in and asked what was the problem I explained to her what happen and she told me that is her assistant and if I didn't want to be help by her anymore that I can leave and not be seen because she is her assistant. Couple days later I get a letter in the mail stating we can no longer be seen at the office. Mind you I had other appts for myself and daughter with diff doc and they decided to remove us from the office. This is the worst doc office I've been too and the way I felt was very painful. I made sure to report it to the higher up and will voice my visit here every chance I get ! If you don't know how to treat patients especially kids there's way more jobs !!!
My eye Drs office made an Appointment with a specialist Dr Kim because he saw a possible problem. The appointment was made in July of 2024 for Dr Kim. The earliest appt available was the Friday before Thanksgiving. I tried calling again to get an earlier appointment with no luck. I got a call a couple of days before the appointment to tell me he's cutting down on his patients that day so he won't be able to see me. Now mind you that I've been waiting since July and my appointment was at 10 am. Why couldn't he see me? How early did he have to leave to enjoy his weekend? This was totally uncaring, inexcusable and very unprofessional. The receptionist I spoke to about this agreed. I told her it doesn't matter how good of a Dr he may be this shows the real person that ha is. Now if I had cancelled late I would have been charged a fee. Why can't we do the same when they are in the wrong?
So you know what I say, and I told the receptionist,
Dr Kim, your fired!
I apologized to the receptionist for having to listen to my complaint.
She was gracious and I thanked her. So I would give Dr Kim a zero.
I called the office on 11/18/2024 around 1:53 PM for questions about an upcoming appointment at Tewksbury office for my dad as he recently has a new insurance and hopes to get his profile updated for future billings before his visit on 11/25/2024. I am not sure who I was speaking to on the phone but the lady was very rude and kept saying "so you don't have any insurance!" many times as I mentioned to her about the changes. She spoke to me with an attitude , did not listen to my question, and raised her voice by the time she picked up the phone even though I just wanted to tell her that my dad no longer has BCBS but recently under coverage of another insurance company. I never wanted to give a bad review for a whole business just for the mistake of one person but this is very disrespectful and unprofessional which I cannot tolerate. I had to cancel the appointment instead of further talking to her because I know for sure that she is not willing to help us at all. Now I need to contact my father's doctor for another referral and have to wait for another 6-9 months to be seen somewhere else because I will never want to be here again.
Went to urgent care for an eye issue and they sent me here because my eye doctor couldn't see me today.. I've never been here before but they scheduled my visit right away. When I arrived check in was easy and i had a minimal wait before I saw the doctor. She was great and very helpful. Overall i had a great experience and am grateful they saw me..
If I could give this place a -5 I would be very careful when you get your bill in they are billing you as a medical problem they have overbuilt my mother she doesn't wear glasses and they build her for an eye prescription they refused to take it off now I got my bill in and they billed me as a medical problem when it was a routine eye exam which I never pay for a routine eye exam with my insurance I go every two years. If they are over billing Everybody by $60 man what money they're making now I know why all these doctors are living high on the hog. They are not billing their patients Insurance correctly so this way you have to pay a deductible I will never go back to this place or recommend them shame on them
2 hours and $285 later, I still have to come back because the doctor I was scheduled to see for my contact and glasses exam was unable to perform a contact lens evaluation. Since I had to wait for 2 hours, most of the staff went home so I couldn't get fitted for glasses after my exam. Unfortunately I got coerced into paying before my exam because the staff wanted to go home, I should have made them wait like they made me wait. I wasn't even the only one, they were ready go close when I left and there was a mother and young daughter still waiting for their appointment. Incredibly unprofessional, I highly suggest avoiding this place.
