Dr. Kimberly J. Mooney-Mcnulty, MD

Today, Sunday, August 3rd, my 11 year old daughter woke up crying that her left eye hurt and it felt like something was in there. She wears Ortho-K lenses at night so my immediately thought/ concern was that it was from the lenses so I text our eye doctor, who got back to me immediately but said she was out of the country and advised me to call Dr. Evan's office and to ask for the Dr. on call. I called the office and about a half an hour later Dr. Kimberly McNulty called me back and was immediately rude asking who she was speaking with saying. "I don't know you." I briefly explained the situation and said I was advised by our eye dr to call Dr. Evan's office and I was cut off by Dr. McNulty who said, and I quote, "This is total BS. I don't even cover for her. And this is why I don't use OrthoK. I don't know why you're calling me, go to Mass eye in Boston." My response was that I was just doing as I was told, trying to take care of my 11 year old daughter. As someone who has been wearing glasses since I was 5 years old and contacts since I was 14 I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly, both with eye doctors and regular physicians, and quite frankly I don't care how good at your job you are, if you speak and treat any patient or human being the way Kimberly McNulty spoke to me over the phone today then I have ZERO respect for you. I've had to call the "on call pediatrician" over the years for my children, and I almost never get our regular doctor, it's always someone else, and I've never once been treated to or spoken to the way I was this morning. There was zero kindness, zero compassion, only an attitude and abbreviated profanities, as I clearly interrupted her Sunday morning. As I mentioned I'm a long time wearer of glasses and contacts, I also happen to have my own side business and I work in a different physicians office, where I'm very often providing referrals, including eyes. Moving forward I'll continue to refer people to my eye dr, but I will absolutely forewarn people of Kimberly McNulty. I do hope she reads this review and feels ashamed for helping make my Sunday that much more stressful. Oh, and Kimberly, the issue had nothing to do with her orthok, it was an eyelash under her lid. I'm thrilled we drove into the city for that. Next time, think TWICE about the way you speak to people, as they say, someone might not remember what you said to them, but they'll always remember how you made them feel.

Very professional, friendly AND very good technical skills. Fixed my double vision problem. Would definitely recommend.
