A wonderful place with so many frame options and very patient, accepting, and meticulous employees. I have very high myopia (-13), and Mac was able to help me find a frame shape that worked best for my extremely thick lenses but also still looked cute/felt sturdy. I am very grateful for Gaze Optical's help, and I look forward to returning once I need a new pair of glasses.

Dr. Diane is amazing and so is the staff at Gaze Optical. Smooth process from check-in to the exam to picking out frames from a great selection of small businesses. Dr. Diane caught a condition that should've been tested at my last optometrist so it just goes to show how attentive and caring they are here.

if you have a more complex condition, find your eyes are more sensitive or glasses need more adjusting to feel good this place is for you. Most thorough and thoughtful and excellent care I have received. Mac (optometrist) takes so much time and care every time I come in needing any glasses adjustment. Very patient and validating and we always figure out what needs tweaking in the end. I can say after having very dismissive eye doctors / optometrist this place was such a find. Also between the comfy chairs and all the fun and joyful flagging LGBTQ+ I always felt happy and comfortable. Also Dr. Ah-Kine specializes in care for migraines, chronic headache and those with a history of concussion they took great care to evaluate for any possible issues. If you are in the Boston area this is where you should go.

I run past this store regularly and needed an eye apt so I made one. I'm very glad I did! Dr Ah-Kline and Mac are both lovely people who treated me with professionalism, friendliness and respect, and took great care of my eyes. I'll absolutely be back!

When my long-time eye doctor retired last year I was bummed. Finding a new provider can be daunting. But team at Gaze hit it out of the park. Mac is wonderful and connected me with the best frames and lenses I've had the pleasure of wearing. These glasses are so comfortable and stylish. Mac also takes the time to adjust and ensure the frames truly fit. The difference is, well...eye-opening. Dr. Ah-Kine was exceptionally thorough, knowledgable, and friendly. They were very detailed and used both classic and new technologies for the exam, helped me feel comfortable as a new patient, and asked great questions. The shop is also a piece of art in and of itself. Go Gaze!

I've tried multiple eye doctors and was so impressed by Dr. Ah-Kine and the team at Gaze Optical. For eye exams for both kids and adults, they were thorough yet efficient, kind and relaxed yet professional, and most importantly clearly have a high degree of expertise. They also did an excellent job of explaining options and next steps. Highly recommend!

I went to Gaze for a second opinion, feeling frustrated about the problematic aftercare I received at another office after cataract and corrective surgery in both eyes. The optometrists and other staff were highly attentive and answered my questions thoroughly and directly. They validated my concerns and we are working on a solution. I walked out feeling heard and very relieved.

Would-be shoppers: This may not factor into your experience at all, but for parents: they do not carry glasses for very young children. Their range is for age 7 and up. Good to know!
