I visited on 12/01/2023. A routine eye exam turned into an 18-month headache!!!!!!!Although the clinic was listed as in-network and the full copay was settled at the appointment, monthly statements have been arriving ever since, demanding the difference between the clinic's list price and the insurer's negotiated rate. Vision-insurance support confirmed that no further payment is required, yet the bills keep coming.
The visit itself was equally disappointing. One of the diagnostic machines was malfunctioning, and the doctor spent much of the exam pressuring the purchase of daily disposable contact lenses instead of focusing on care.
Between faulty equipment, relentless up-selling, and unjustified billing, this provider's high ratings feel entirely unwarranted. Strongly recommend seeking eye care elsewhere.
Importantly, I had explained and argued the bill because I had paid last February. They replied me "leave me alone". It is crazy!!! I should be the one to say it!!! What's more, I am still receiving the wrong bill for the following year!!!!!!!!

Ever wonder why people come here when they close so early and don't open on weekends? I sure did, and I regret going to other optometrists for the weekend appointments. This place is top quality. The exam with Dr. Wasz was conducted properly and not rushed. As with good practice, she ensured that prescription is accurate and sufficient (not unnecessarily high). She fixed a problem I had with previous glasses, based on the material of the lens. Finally, the prices for glass lenses felt fair and competitive, at least compared to other optometrists' offices. Glasses fit is also ensured before leaving. Front staff is willing to help. Definitely prompt them on insurance, don't leave without making sure you're getting your benefits from the insurance, the front staff is not all-knowledgeable on all insurance types but are willing to check spec-sheets on their end and help.
What an amazing experience! They have some super cool state-of-the-art equipment. Totally blew me away! The staff at this office are great. The receptionist made it very easy to book the appointments and was very kind and helpful when I arrived. Dr.Wazc beyond amazing! She definitely exceeded all of my expectations. Best bedside manner from an optometrist I have ever experienced. She is knowledgeable, friendly, easy going and provided me with a superb experience all around. She found the right contacts for me at the right price. No judgments, no sales pitches. I think I have found my lifetime optometrist! Thank you Dr. Wazc
Great job by Dr. Allison Wasz diagnosing and treating my eyes! I can see much clearer now - love these new glasses!!! I definitely recommend anyone in the area to use them for the best eyecare in town!!
What a fabulous practice! The receptionist was local, knowledgeable, and really nice, so my experience started off great. After meeting Dr. Greene and having my exam, I concluded this is the best eye doctor I've ever been to. Not only was he nice & approachable, he was also very open to new technology, which he showed and used during my exam. He was honest about the state of my prescription, and I left feeling confident I had gone to the right place. Very good!
First, a good, or even a great, thing: Dr. Greene is very professional and very good with children. No complaints here. If you don't care about expenses, book an appointment by all means. We saw the older one (the father?). I'm not sure about the other Dr. Greene.
However, any medical office is also defined by the quality of the office staff. Those are the people who take your information, make the costs assessment and in general tell you if the insurance covers the services or not. And here we have remarkable incompetence. The case is simple: we came to do the school-required vision screening (or whatever it's called officially) for a 4-year-old. The office told us that it was supposed to be covered. The insurance told the same. Of course, there was no official confirmation. Considering this office does belong to our insurance network (UHC), it would take them 5-10 seconds to check, since they obviously have the electronic system in place. Or they could call, since they had our info. You know, that's why all offices ask for your insurance info beforehand. These folks obviously did nothing. Or did but lied to us. At which point you know the result: you're on the hook for a couple of hundreds USD (if you're lucky). Now, one can say: you should check more carefully yourself. Maybe, but sometimes it's hard to say what's going to be submitted in a claim. Which codes. For children it differs as well. The practice obviously knows. That's why they always do it, the claim and the estimates. As I said, we called the insurance, and I suspect it was "lost in translation" exactly because of that.
My advice to you, if you decide to come here. By default, consider the office workers either lying or incompetent. Whichever you prefer. If they tell you "It's going to be covered", consider it a lie unless they can prove it in writing (e.g., the official insurance estimate) or you can call from their office and ask together. Otherwise, you might get saddled with the bill without any remorse on their side.
I'm not trying to be mean here or pick on anybody. Maybe these people are the brightest outside the office, but they did cost us money, and that could have been easily avoided if they just did their job. We hope others will be on guard in similar circumstances. We would have been, if we saw such a review. In case there is an attempt to shift the blame on us, I want to point out that for us this is the first rejected in-network claim in 14 years. Maybe we were lucky or maybe most medical offices out there do their job properly, and don't want you to get stuck with the bill, if that can be avoided. You can see other 1-star reviews related to their handling of the insurance. Some from many years ago, but it seems they haven't become any better at this.
Had a very positive experience here. Was fitted for contact lenses, and new glasses. They are super kind, helpful, and ensure that you are satisfied. I definitely recommend this business for high quality optometric care.
I've been a patient of Dr. Marty Greene's for over 15 years. The eye care I receive is excellent. The front office staff is always friendly and welcoming.
I appreciate their evening hours. And I like the email/text reminders.
Whenever I've had emergency with my eyes I've been able to get in right away with him or Dr. Malcolm Greene for immediate treatment.
I just recently had my annual eye exam and contact lens fitting and it just reinforced how lucky I am to have such a great optometrist. Dr Greene took time to ask me about changes I've noticed in my vision and spent time to explain my contact lenses and glass options. And I never feel rushed in the appt.
I have the utmost confidence with him and the eye care I'm receiving. I highly recommend Dr. Marty and Malcolm Greene.
