Goswick Eye - RCA Optical | Best Glasses, Contacts & Eye Exams in Webster

My son was seen by an eye doctor at Boston Children's Hospital and needed glasses. I called Goswick Eye and inquired about the Webster location and verified that they accepted his insurance. When arriving to Goswick eye I was told by the lady at the front desk that unfortunately they cannot fit my son for glasses because he was not seen by a doctor there. I have never heard of this happening before at an optical shop. Especially an optical shop that had not one person in it. My daughter and I are patients at the Uxbridge location and will now be going elsewhere.

Today my husband and I went to get glasses at the Webster location. it was a wonderful time. Each staff member is so friendly and helpful. Everything was set up in a way that makes it a very quick and smooth process. They take a lot of different insurances and I was able to pay the difference to get the perfect pair. Loved the options and can't wait to go back. Thank you again for all the help today :)

Be sure to sort the reviews here by most recent. This business has changed hands. My experience at RCA Optical was initially good. However, when I got my glasses, they were definitely wrong. Everything was blurry and I could not use them at all. However, when I went back, I felt condescended to and not listened to. It felt like they were not taking the time to really hear what the problem was. It was as if they had decided already what the issue was. But once they redid the prescription, they realized that it was wrong and had the glasses made again. At that point they made me sign a paper saying that if I had to have them made again, it would cost me $35. I do not think this was right because it's a prescription was wrong and it was their fault, it didn't matter how many times it took them to get it right, I shouldn't have had to pay. Its not like I just didn't like the frames or something. All I wanted to do was to be able to see! I did not feel good when I left there. I did not have much confidence that the glasses were going to be right. When I received them, they were better but everything at a distance was still blurry and out of focus. I called their main number and the person recommended that I go to another office of theirs to get it straightened out. I did and they got it right immediately. The glasses are perfect and I have no blurriness and no problems seeing at all. I was happy that Goswick Eye was able to straighten it out for me. But I absolutely will not go back to the Webster office. (The office I went to in order to get my corrected glasses was B Frank in Uxbridge which is also owned by Goswick Eye. I cannot say enough good about that office. They spent an incredible amount of time with me making sure that I had the exact right prescription. I felt very listened to. Everyone treated me with respect and concern. I highly recommend that office.) Please also read the response below. You will see that the pattern of making people feel not listened to and condescended to comes from the top. The glasses were wrong. It was not an adaptation issue. I had planned to write a glowing review of the Uxbridge office and to move my business there. I will now do neither.

Been going here for years when it was RCA optical and the new staff and owners are absolutely wonderful. Everyone is friendly. I love how they don't just start with sticking you in with the doctor. They have you do different exams in different rooms before seeing the doctor, To make sure you have the best results and get the care you need. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new eye doctor.

I drove by this place for years thinking the sign looked sad and perhaps this wasn't a place to go for vision assistance. I was correct. The office is dilapidated and dirty, and did not give the impression of a clean/sterile environment whatsoever. It quickly became obvious multiple patients were still scheduled to be seen before me, despite my scheduled time. One patient confirmed she waited an hour before being seen. This isn't the 90's - doctor's offices actually DO need to respect the time of patients now. The receptionist was very pleasant and did as well as she could despite the office completely overbooking patients. Would not recommend.

My first time at the location in years. It's under new management. The optometrist was excellent. She's very knowledgable and clear with providing information pertaining to both my daughter and I in regards to our exams. Everyone in the office is very kind and helpful. I mean from the front end for exams as well as the persons assisting with frame selection and ordering. They took their time scheduling further appointments with an outside specialist which my daughter needs. I mean above and beyond. Service that probably should be provided for any appointment but in reality I cannot think of anywhere else that puts this much effort. It's a very "friend's house" kind of feel versus going for an eye exam. Not in the appearance but in the warmth and kindness that you receive. If the rating went to 10 stars they would've definitely received it from us. Thanks again ladies.

This was my first time at RCA Optical and the atmosphere was very relaxed and everyone was friendly and easy to work with. I liked the Optometrist very much. She was very easy to talk to and thoroughly explained everything that she was doing. She answered my questions which were minimal because she was so thorough with the exam. Once I got my prescription they were quite helpful with the selection and ordering of glasses. I would not hesitate to recommend RCA Optical to anyone looking for an eye doctor.
