Excellent end-to-end experience during a follow up visit for laser eye surgery to repair a torn retina, which also resulted in an excellent outcome of near 20-20 vision with glasses. The only slight downside is the high volume of patients handled by the shared facility and the occasional issue of a crowded parking lot with heavy traffic. I highly recommend Dr. David Reed and his team!

I was very impressed with my first visit with Dr. David Reed of Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston at their W Yarmouth office. I was seen on time by its very friendly and kind staff and assistants. I was diagnosed with early stage of Macular Degeneration about 6 years ago so am seen yearly. Dr. Reed was friendly, kind and thorough in his examination. He stressed the importance of regularly testing my eyes with the Amsler grid because one eye can deteriorate without notice because the other eye compensates for its deficiency. I knew this but he really impressed upon me how serious I do it daily or at least 3-4 times a week so any changes can be caught and given attention asap for best results. Dr. Reed also noticed a concern with my optical nerve and possible glaucoma indications and suggest I be seen by Dr. Resnick, an ophthalmologist. I am so happy to have chosen Dr. Reed since I moved to the Cape and highly recommend him along with the staff at OCB.

When reflecting on my cataract procedure with Dr. Oats and his team, the term "empathetic care" comes to mind. Dr. Oats is of gentle character and a superlative surgeon. Many patients are anxious snd naturally aprehensive when anticipating this delicate surgery, but rest assured you will be in good hands. Simply follow the directions you are given by Dr. Oats and his attentive staff and all will be okay. Personally I was delighted with the results. Crystal clear near 20/20 vision with vibrant colors and detail. I'd highly recommend the trifocal PanOptix lenses! They are truly state of the art! So, relax if you can, the folks here will ensure a painless success and tremendously improved eyesight as well. Good luck!
