Dr. Weintraub is a superb professional with excellent credentials. He showed great knowledge and competence. He was very attentive, patient with my questions, explaining everything clearly to me, and was very efficient with a calming and most pleasant demeanor. He clearly cares about his patients, and his staff complement and reflect his professionalism. Brooke Little-McGee
I have been a patient of Dr. Weintraub for many years and choose to remain his patient because of the great care he offers for routine eye exams as well as for my long term eye health. I have always found Dr. Weintraub to be friendly & easy to talk with, knowledgeable about the care of my eyes and available to answer any questions I might have. I feel I receive outstanding care and service for a reasonable price and frequently recommend Dr. Weintraub to family and friends. His office staff is personable and quickly schedules appointments or follow-ups.
Dr. Weintraub is an exceptional doctor who takes time with his patients, checking their vision carefully to make sure they get the best possible prescription. He also does an extremely thorough examination for eye health, and he explains everything clearly so it's easy to understand what's going on and what's involved in any treatment he thinks is necessary.
In my particular case, he was able to solve a problem in which a difference in nearsightedness between my eyes was so great that I would have had to have surgery on a healthy eye if he had not been willing to adjust my prescription in an unusual way, test the results, and then make further adjustments until it was just right.
I also find Dr. Weintraub's staff to be very efficient and friendly, and his office is comfortable, pleasant, and conveniently located, with plenty of free parking.
Update, September 2017: Some time after I wrote the comments above, I developed a serious eye condition that led me to have many more interactions with Dr. Weintraub. He clearly explained my situation and patiently answered my many questions. This experience has made me even more impressed with--and grateful for--his superb diagnostic and interpersonal skills.
I have been a patient of Dr. Weintraub as well as my husband and now deceased mother-in-law for many years. I have found him to be completely professional and appreciate his chair side manner. Many times my husband or I have needed emergency visits and even though he has had a full schedule never did we feel rushed and he took the time to fully address our concerns and needs. He always takes the time to explain any new condition that may have arisen and helps to allay any fears such as up coming cataract surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Weintraub to my neighbors and friends.
Dr. Weintraub has been my ophthalmologist for more than 30 years. For many of those years I had annual check-up visits. He was extremely thorough and spent all the time necessary for an exam and discussion about my eyesight. On several occasions he discovered serious issues, including rapidly developing cataracts and a wrinkle in my retina, and he referred me to terrific surgeons for each. They had a good working relationship with Dr. Weintraub and took care of me promptly with excellent results.
About 11 years ago my wife and I moved from Westminster to Maryland's eastern shore. Even though it is a two-and-a-half hour trip each way to Dr. Weintrauib's office, we continue to see him as we completely trust his medical experience and abilities. From our experience, we know he is a doctor who cares about his patients and who spends the time to provide top-notch treatment.
My husband and I are new to Dr Weintraub's practice; however, I know we will be lifelong patients. My husband had a problem which was not being solved by our previous eye doctor. Dr Weintraub diagnosed the condition and prescribed the correct procedure to solve the problem during our first visit, and did so with humor and friendliness. He took the time to explain the condition and answer our questions - not rush to get to his next patient. During our second visit, Dr Weintraub was as cordial and funny as before, and I'm happy to report my husband's problem is on the way to being cured. I'm just sorry we didn't find Dr Weintraub sooner!
I am a recent transplant to the Westminster area. Having to find new doctors has not been easy, but I have been pleasantly surprised by the doctors I have found in Westminster. Dr. Weintraub is no exception. First off, as soon as you walk in the door, it is a very pleasant atmosphere. The front office staff are very welcoming and answer any and every question you may have. Dr. Weintraub has a very pleasant bedside manner. I've been to an optometrist before, and they were very cut and dry and made me feel as if I was bothering them. Dr. Weintraub is none of those things. First of all, he is upbeat and seems like he is genuinely happy to meet you. He is able to joke around with you, but gets serious when it comes to the condition of your eyes. All in all, I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Weintraub and definitely plan on going back for my yearly check-up. If you're looking for a wonderful optometrist in the Westminster area, I definitely recommend looking Dr. Weintraub up and getting an appointment. Wonderful experience all around!
My family has been going to Dr Weintraub for almost 30 years. From the time time my son needed glasses at the very young age of 4, until more recent years when our own vision declined, we have always depended on Dr Weintraub for his accurate diagnosis. Dr Bittings also examined my son when he wanted contacts, and Dr Kessler performed Lasik procedure on him when he was older. Dr Weintraub is kind and thorough, and makes you feel comfortable with any questions you might have. I highly recommend Dr Weintraub, and his associates, for any vision needs.
