After 63 yrs of wearing glasses,since 3 yrs of age, I have 20/20 vision Greatly Appreciate the thoroughness in discussing vision packages. I felt comfortable and Safe from first visit to final post-op check up. Do not hesitate to choose Specialty Eye Institute!! The whole support staff,from office to Drs. are a Blessing. Paula Noaeill

The entire staff is so professional and helpful and friendly. Doctors are unbelievably skilled, and the process is organized . And believe it or not procedures there for the Cadillac standard of EYE CARE are considerably less other offices in the Kalamazoo and Lansing area! Even if you have to drive, it's worth going to one of their offices fantastic

I saw 4 technicians who did a variety of tests, and I saw the doctor who also did tests and explained everything thoroughly re: removing my cataracts and getting new lenses. Lastly I saw a gal who explained about the follow up appointments, bill, medications, insurance, and any questions that I had. Everyone was very nice, helpful, professional, and thorough!!! We are fortunate to have them in our city!!

I took my mother to the Battle Creek office to do a work up for Cataract surgery. She's 92 and has significant mobility issues. The staff are very friendly but the office is not set up for patients with mobility issues. Some of the tests required her to sit in a chair with a pillow on it to be able to reach the equipment. Even then- I had to push and hold her head into the testing equipment which was extremely uncomfortable for her. The preop and post op appointments are EXTREMELY long with the waiting room wait and appointment times. The surgeries were performed in Jackson and for the first surgery we waited in the waiting room for over 3 1/2 hours before she was called back to begin the preop work. All of the staff are wonderful, but the assembly line of patients and extremely long wait times are awful. If given the chance to do it over again, we would have gone to one of the local surgeons and not a "chain store" eye and surgery center. **** Edit. My mother had surgery on both eyes. They mailed her one bottle of eye drops. She ran out 2 weeks before they were supposed to be done. You can NOT get in touch with anyone local- all calls go to a calling center outside of the country. The person I spoke to in the scheduling center told me he'd take care of getting my mother more eye drops but never asked for her pharmacy until I prompted him to. At this point I can NOT recommend any part of the specialty eye institute. Avoid it and go to a local professional with an actual practice.

I had an issue with my eye. They took care of me quickly. The only issue I have is the phone system is long and repetitive. Difficult to get a quick call into the doctor. Although the person I spoke with followed up until I got an appointment.

everyone from the check in person that helped me with the keyos cause I couldn't see to do it myself. To meeting with the surgeon that explained everything in detail of why the surgery wouldn't help me see any better. everyone from step one walking in to the office to the last step of walking out was met with a very pleasant person. The only negative think I have to say is I hate your call center is run through Africa he was very pleasant but very hard to understand and set me for appointment but when I got there I had to set up another appointment because he gave me a different time then what I was supposed to be there. and I wasn't the only one another gentleman was in front of me complaining about the same thing he was there at the wrong time from what he was given on the phone and it must have happen before to him because he was telling them he was sick of their call center.

After a very thorough first visit exam, I was amazed and thankful that my symptoms were heard and taken into account. I have Lupus and over the years have gotten used to falling on deaf ears! My docter didn't just cover the symptoms but what was causing them. Dr.Klummp didn't mence words and was clear as to cause and what we had to do FIRST then where we would go from there. Started treatment immediately. Thank Goodness for real Doctors that are not in a rush to push you out the door and actually listen and act in MY best interest over meeting a patient count! I will give them a 10 out of 10, from the front desk to the Doctor!

I don't like to post a bad review but here goes. The location isn't correct on either Google maps or Apple Maps. I finally just went to the closest medical building and had a person direct me. I tried calling to get directions but the service had 4 callers ahead of me and it was faster to go into the medical building than to wait for directions. We arrived a few minutes late and the front desk people were very sweet. The waiting room was full and we waited for more than 45 minutes past our appointment time. Unfortunately, this happened at the first appointment at a different location. I'm not sure who is scheduling the appointments but it's definitely not realistic.
