I adopted my cat here in February 2023 after losing my dog 4 months prior and only going in to visit some furry friends. The staff here were very friendly and I haven't forgotten their kindness. The first photo was taken through the door after i left their cat room. That was the first moment I realized she was MY cat. I had no choice but to come back the next day. Her name at the shelter was Darci but it is now Cashew. (she also responds to Crunchwrap, Cashapp, Kalamazoo, etc.) When I adopted her she was around 5 years old and we've come to realize she was probably a street cat before I got her. She isn't afraid of dumpster diving but a covered trash can and not leaving human food out did the trick! Cashew is the sweetest, most loving, smartest, and perfectly clingy cat. She likes to fall asleep with my arm wrapped around her every night. I say all of this as a thank you, but also to show those reading that adult cats and cats with unknown history and quirks are so worthy of love and adoption. Thank you for giving me my best friend. (written with a Cashew loafing on my lap)

The workers and volunteers were great and helping my family to find a pet that was a good fit. They let us spend time with different cats. The facility was clean and animals appeared taken care of. Our sweet cat is a great fit for our family.

There is a worker here that would rather a dog stay locked up, then be adopted to a MORE than qualified and caring couple...we were interested in Bo, and the worker, Jo, didn't even look at the applications. She just sent him off to a rescue, saying that nobody would be able to handle that dog....we met him, fell in love with him and now he's locked up somewhere else....I will NEVER do business with these people again....She is totally unfair and uncaring......

Everyone really cares about the animals and they take really good care of them. They have a great volunteer program and relationships within the community enabling them to foster out animals. Very impressed with the dog I adopted and the things they already taught her.

This is such a wonderful place that needs our community support! The pets housed here need food, bedding, leashes, toys and volunteers to help love them while they are looking for their forever homes. Highly recommend volunteering here and reaching out to see what they need.

Adopted this cutie! He was at the Animal Shelter for almost a year! He adapted tremendously well.. I am happy I could provide him his purr-fect forever home! Leon is FIV+. There are a lot of misconceptions regarding FIV. They ARE adoptable. They deserve the same love and attention as other felines. Please adopt FIV + cats!

We adopted our Oliver, a shepherd/lab mix 13 years ago! This place was very clean, the staff friendly and very caring for the animals. Oliver's shots were free and they gave us coupons for free food. The adoption fee was minimal with the majority of it refunded after we gave them proof of neutering. Oliver is still with us and has been the best dog ever! Thank you for bringing him into our lives!
