Kellogg Eye Center - Brighton Center for Specialty Care

We only visited once so far but I definitely prefer this location over the Ann Arbor location. Ypsilanti as a second choice. Parking is pretty good. Ann Arbor has a more kid-centered main waiting room but is ALWAYS packed. This waiting room here was clean and there was much less waiting. We were 30 minutes early and they called us in at exactly our appointment time. We were seen promptly, almost no waiting in the room, staff was pleasant, and they gave her the dilation drops and then sent us to another waiting room. We waited about 15-20 minutes (it went by fast) and then finished up. We were out of there within an hour of our appointment time. If you're not enjoying the other Kellogg Eye Centers, I recommend giving this one a try!

I have been a loyal patient of this Brighton location and they have never let me down! Recently I've had a chance to get my new prescribed glasses and the gentleman working at the optical shop really showed he cared for your needs! Very nice and friendly.

I went in to order glasses for my son and just went along with what the clinician decided for sizing even though I thought it was too big. I called back the next day to ask for the smaller size and was told "No". Guess what the glasses were too big and a month later, still waiting for be glasses to be replaced. No ownership, no apology. I'll never be back.

Terrible practice as well as the one in Novi. Rude, not helpful can't get an appointment even with an eye problem. Given incorrect diagnosis over and over. Save yourself the time and energy and not go to these locations. I can not speak about the Ann Arbor location. Here is a follow up to my post. I recently received a call from a receptionist that sounded half awake, Donna telling me that I needed to schedule a follow up per the doctor. I then explained that the PA denied me an appointment when I called 6 weeks earlier saying I was in pain. She then very abruptly hung up and left slandering comments in my portal that were untrue. This is typical Michigan medicine ophthalmology behavior and the reason I went to Henry Ford for help. Patient relations has been no help and nothing ever gets done when I have reached out. I have returned their calls and then received a letter but have yet to speak with a person. I think from this point on it will be in writing only and no more phone calls so I have documentation.

I took my 7 month old to the Ann Arbor office for her eye exam and they were great. She need tiny frames so I came to SVS in brighton because I go there and they didn't have frames in her size. So I went to the optical shop at kellogg Brighton so I didn't have to go all the way back to Ann Arbor. We'll that was almost 4 weeks ago. I called 2 weeks ago and they said the frames were approved and it would take 1-2 weeks until they came in. Like seriously my daughter needs these glasses so she doesn't have issues with her eyes in the future. She's 7 months old for crying out loud. I'll be making a call later today to find out the status of her glasses again. If there is a delay I'll be contacting the Ann Arbor office. I get WAY better results there. It will be worth the drive.

I was there 25 min before appointment time ni line I think one if first appointments of day. The check in staff were friendly and efficient. The two staff that saw me before Dr McKee were absolutely great explaining everything I needed to do and everything they were doing. Dr McKee came in he also took the time to explain everything he was doing and anything that was wrong with eyes the entire staff made sure I understood everything and answered all my questions and concerns, they listen to their patients, and that is a quality that is hard to find with medical care now days

I have visited this optical shop for the last couple of years and prefer it over the Ann Arbor location due to the open space and pleasant staff. Shopping for glasses is hard, and I am grateful the staff are kind enough to offer their opinion when I have requested it for what suits my face for the last two eye glasses I have purchased with them!

Needed an updated eye exam as I hadn't been seen for one in six years. Lucked into a next day cancellation. Was brought into the exam room within 10 minutes of my scheduled appointment. Medical assistant Sarah was extremely engaging and professional with her portion of my exam. Dr. Gagan, OD was marvelous. Friendly and thorough explaining all of her procedures in detail and taking time at the end of the session to recap and answer questions. Will return. Highly recommended!!
