Eye doctor is great! Glasses are a bit pricey, but every pair I get from there is perfect, and I have a complicated transition prescription with an astigmatism. Been going here for over 15 years.

After being dissatisfied with other eyeglass businesses with their quick, shallow exams and getting glasses that were my eyes could not deal with, I went to be examined by Dr. Birchmeier at Pearle Vision-Brighton. After an full and extremely detailed exam, the lens technicians did a great job of matching the prescription. I strong endorse going to said business.

WOW what a horrible experience, glasses TOOK 5 WEEKS TO ARRIVE even tho I was told 2 weeks , cost 2 times as much as other places, go to eyeglass world 10 mins away. same glasses half the price and when I got the glasses they were the WRONG prescription, This could have really damaged my eyes if I didn't have another pair of glasses to verify. The staff tried to convince me they were good. ON TOP Of all that would not give me a full refund , changed me Credit card fees for payment and returns. Told me it was common in the medical industry, I have never heard of this. Eye glass world does not do that, that's where I got another pair of glasses comically bad experience. Stay away! Doctor was super nice tho, Staff could use more training.

Third year going to Pearle Vision in Brighton. Every experience has been great. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Appointments were all right on time as well. Dr Berchmier is awesome; very thorough, knowledgeable and considerate. 5/5 stars

I cannot imagine who these people are talking about in some of these reviews. I have always had timely service, quality glasses, and a thorough eye exam by the attentive Dr. Birchmeir. I think this place has the best styles in town, and the best people working for them. No one has ever shoved extras on me for more money, and I have always! been happy with my prescription. Also I have never had a lengthy wait, but I am able to go at times when others may be working. My husband has had similar positive experiences, and we would not go anywhere else. They use the best lab around by the way. Sadly some people just want a cheap product and an assembly line process.

Spent an hour in there with no help. Not even a good morning. Went in with my mother who had an appointment. I have my prescription with pearl vision an only wished to purchase a pair of glasses. The lady helping my mother didn't bother to ask if I needed anything after she was told I was there to purchase glasses. Two different woman never made eye contact or acknowledge my presence and we're not even helping anyone. Sad experience.

On 8/16/2012, I walked in for a simple eye exam at 4:30 pm, but it was a waste of time. I waited 2 hours for the Dr. to even see me. Someone told me to try on tons of glasses as I waited. They act as if they get a commission on up selling expensive eyeglasses. I felt like she was trying to sell me the high-end pair. After being asked to move so she can help other customers, I didn't have a chair to sit in, and eventually, I left a little after 8oclock. New customers, stay away!!!! SVS vision took 30 minutes for an eye exam, and I got glasses for my budget. It's been a long time since I visited; however, this review isn't fake.

I visited the location in Brighton MI for my annual eye exam. I needed new contacts and new eyeglasses. Conveniently for them, they waited until after they had put the dilation drops in my eyes to have me look over the paperwork, when my eyes could not focus on objects close to me so I was having trouble reading the amounts owed and I was getting motion sick because of it. I relied on the employee helping me to explain the bill to me. They offered me a deal, buy 1 get 1 free. I paid $300 and I thought my insurance was covering the remaining balance. Later that night when the dilation wore off and I was reading my bill none of my insurance payments were on there and it said I had a balance of over $300 still owed. I called the store and asked them to explain. They told me they have no idea what my insurance covers until they get a check from them. This makes no sense to me, they should have called and check my coverage before billing me. They told me they anticipated my insurance only covering $70 and I would be responsible for the rest. I told the girl during my appointment I do not want to spend more than $300 total. They then told me if they cancelled the "free" pair then that would drop the balance by $300 - how is a pair of FREE glasses costing me $300 more?! After feeling like I was taken advantage of in the store I asked to cancel both pairs of glasses and be refunded, as I do not feel comfortable with how they run their business. Taking all of my hard earned money to fund the Doctor's 5 boats that he was bragging about to me. They told me they can cancel the free pair but not the other pair. I am extremely upset and frustrated. I recommend going to a better company that does not take advantage of their customers.
