The doctor at the end was amazing. She was friendly, quick and thorough. The person who did the initial meeting in the room was just meh. She was polite and thorough as well. But as soon as she said eye drops, my 7 year old flipped out. It didn't feel like the lady helped with a work around. It was a feeling of power through and she has to do it anyway. I think if she had more methods to help my daughter before she got upset would be crucial in the experience. We ended up needing to take a break and then she took a really long time to come back which just added to the fear my daughter was having about the drops. We are new in town and we've had eye doctor appointments where it was way less stressful. My daughter has had glasses since she was 3. This appointment should have been nothing new for us. I hope more kid friendly methods can be implemented to help kids feel comfortable instead of being forced and held down.

We had such a wonderful experience at Children's Eye Care of Michigan in Dearborn! The staff was incredibly kind and patient with my child who has autism from start to finish. The doctor took the time to explain everything in a way that made my little one feel comfortable and even excited about the visit. The exam was gentle, thorough, and fun, they even had games and colorful tools that kept my child relaxed the whole time.
The office was clean, welcoming, and very child friendly. I really appreciated how everyone made sure we understood the results and next steps. It's such a relief to know my child's vision is in great hands. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a caring and professional children's eye care experience!

This place runs like a well oiled machine. Receptionist quickly verified our info so I wouldn't have to fill out paperwork AND wrangle a toddler- greatly appreciated Our appointment was for 9:25 and we're called in at that time. The preliminary exam and exam by the Dr is quick and to the point. There's enough space in the exam room to move about and not a bunch of off limit things for kids to get into. Well done!! The staff is very friendly and accommodating too.

my sweet son is 5 and autistic. he sometimes has a hard time with eloping, especially in confined spaces like a doctors office with smaller rooms. the whole staff was so great and patient with him! I'm always scared of how my son will be received and about protecting him but i didn't have to worry about that here
