Family Eye Care

The after telling the receptionist I was on medicare she immediately became rude and disrespectful, and when I attempted to explain that my wife lost her eye sight and needed to see the eye doctor, the receptionist told us it was probably just dry eye not to worry about it, I pressed her for an appointment explaining she was not able to see eventually I got an appointment for the following Monday. I called the emergency room, and was told to come in immediately, and after 4 referrals we ended up in eye institute in WI. The action of this optometrist receptionist put my wife in harms way and that's why I would NEVER recommend the Family Eye Care and would further recommend staying as far away from the Family Eye Care practice as possible. These people treated us like trash, it's not right.

I had missed my son's appointment by 5 minutes and I had called and the lady was very rude saying "we don't schedule no shows" and hung up on me. I didn't even get one word out. The lady's up front are rude as hell and not professional at all! No way to treat customers. Do better or shut the doors. This is ridiculous!!!! This was my FIRST one !! And I normally do not miss appointments

They wait till I'm done filling out paperwork just to tell me that my insurance is only good for a certain company and then fails to see if my vision is in network even though it's their job.

The two ladies in the office are consistently rude. Their attitudes are literally talked about in local Facebook groups when this office is mentioned btw, it's not just me. Recently, I called to schedule an appointment and was told I'm banned from scheduling because of an insurance issue and a bill I never received. There was no phone call or follow-up, just a sudden ban. If I had known about the bill, I would have gladly paid it. Hopefully now I'll find an office with better communication and a better attitude!

Horrible people work here what a way to run a business!! Office people rude as hell!!! IF YOU DONT LIKE TOUR JOB THEN YOU SHOULDNT WORK THERE AND WHO EVER IS THE DOCTOR IN CHARGE AHOULD STEP IN AND FIRE THEM!!! would you like to be treated like this ? I would think not !!!!

The manager was so rude and would not let me speak to the doctor about an issue, she had always been rude but we let it slide because Sandy is nice and she shouldn't be lumped in with that. I called two days in a row to speak with the doctor and was not given the opportunity. We have since left and went to UP Ophthalmology service is awesome there. Not sure if the doctor looks at these reviews or cares but we are not the only people who thinks she just sucks.

I received excellent service from them. The entire staff treated me with kindness and respect. When I had an issue with my new frames they gave me a new set and sent me on way. I will definitely keep going to Family Eye Care from now on for all my vision needs.

This is the best optometrist I have ever been to! Totally blows the already impressive Walmart Vision Center out of the water! The staff were very friendly and attentive, not to mention helpful, and the optometrist, himself, was very patient with me. I actually kind of "failed" the eye tests, so to speak, and we had to redo my right eye. As I said, he was super patient and understood exactly what happened (I was overthinking the line reads). We got it sorted and my prescription has been updated! Also? They take Medicaid! And it covered both my eye exam and one basic pair of glasses! And, my goodness, did they have a lot of choices for "insurance glasses"! I was blown away! I'm definitely going back every couple of years to update my results. These guys know what they're doing and they do it with a genuine smile and care!
