I CALLED HIM AND ASK YOU DO EYE EXA M FOR CASH AND HE SAID YES WHEN I WENT HE SAID YOU MUST P BUY GLASS FROM HERE. NOTHING IS FREE AND THE SAME EYE GLASS I HAVE WILL COST OVER $350 WHERE I BOUGHT THEM FOR 150 .also the pictures is fake no eye exam for cash and he said his cheapest glass is over 120. So he should change his sign so people won't come to his place for nothing. He said the the pictures was over 10 years.

I had an incredibly positive experience here. They don't accept insurance, however they do offer very affordable glasses and a free eye exam. I had a pleasant experience here. When you talk to the guy on the phone, he can sound a little rude, but I promise you he is very kind.

The owner is greedy and only wants money for himself. He will refuse to give you a copy of your prescription, even though it is required by law to provide a copy since that is apart of your medical records. Definitely will be reporting this place to the FTC. Spend your money somewhere else!!!!!

Honest guy and will not overcharge you. I went in for glasses and provided my own frame. He ordered the lenses from California since it was some type of special order and it took around 4 days, and I got it back as promised. Just give his store a try and you won't regret it, but make sure you bring in cash. A personal note: The guy is very direct and will be straight up with you, don't take it as he's rude or anything. He's just down to earth and can't put on an extra smile like our current society expects (lol).

The absolute best! I have been going here almost 20 years, his work is impeccable. He allows you to purchase your own frames and provides top quality lenses. He is so very personable, reliable and affordable

PBH Optical is the greatest, I spoke with the owner whom repaired my Cartier glasses in a very short time in sharp contrast to the company where the glasses were purchased lens crafters Fairlane about 8 years ago, since that location closedown I was told the Telegraph/12 mile store would would handle ( a screw had fallen off) I arrived at location an associate told me the glasses would have to be shipped out, the older female manager rudely shouted out if you don't have a receipt we can't do anything! I had traveled like 30 miles, to be given no consideration to what my problem was, very poor customer service . Glade for great services at PBH optical!

Nice place. Full of local Hamtramck charm yet professional. Very affordable frame with a few main stream brands and the like. Doctor on site make a lunch hour visit a snap. No long wait here just kind honest folks looking to serve the public. These are the only back up pair of glasses I ever liked.

I called today to ask if my insurance got accepted and he's like we take only cash. I had no issue with him until he started to laugh at the insurance companies when himself probably uses them to get his medical care. There is no issue that he only gets cash, but the issue his attitude towards people who do not have the means that he has. What a crazy conversation.
