SVS Vision Optical Centers

I drove for an hour to get here, and I always enjoy my visit. He takes the time to thoroughly check my eyes, leaving me confident in my eye prescription. I also appreciate the great selection of glasses -- I even visited another place twice, but I promise I won't make that mistake again! The staff here truly is superb.

Unfortunately I will not be going back to this location. Will have to wait 2 weeks for contact delivery. It is 2025 who waits 2 weeks for anything?? I will order from 1800contacts next time and go to Americas Best. When I was there my contacts were outdated and needed some badly they couldnt order them that day so i had to return. They have no different shipping options or anything of the sort. So I am at the mercy of the postal service. Svs is not very helpful and recommend you go somewhere else if your insurance allows it.

They sound nice. But they seem fake. I don't know these people. But they had slide remarks about their co-worker (having lunch in her car with her man) I'm a customer and I'm privy to the gossip just getting fitted for frames.(?) 1st pair was my last pair from them. Glasses fit fine. Culture in the store is tainted. I'm all set.

I went to SVS vision for two years in a row. The 1st year I was kind of iffy about, the appointment seemed to go by quickly & I felt like they didnt do a thorough check but what do I know, im not the professional. Then my 2nd year came and I realized they never dialated my eyes and when I had a concern about blurryness in one of my eyes the doctor told me it's normal & I just need to use eye drops. I finally went somewhere else and they not only dialated my eyes, they heard my concern & informed me it was my astigmatism in my right eye. Then they proceeded to tell me the last eye glass place I went to (svs vision) had given me to strong of a prescription in my lens & it actually made my astigmatism a little worse. So if you want a place who cares about your eyes as much as you do, go anywhere but SVS vision on canal st in lansing!!!!!!!

Beware*** Purchased these Guess sunglasses. Was never told the frames and lenses were not compatible. After they kept popping out I took them in for a repair. I was then told they should have never been made because the lenses and frames did not fit together. After fighting tooth and nail with corporate they agreed to fix them. This is the "fixed" pair. Corporate refused to repair them again, replace, or refund them. Their corporate customer service managers words, "You picked these glasses (even though I was NEVER told there would be an issue with them working properly) so there's nothing we will do. Buy a new pair." Sounds a bit shady to me.... Go literally anywhere else for your prescription glasses needs.

The entire staff was super nice and very helpful! I was so thankful I could get in so quickly after Christmas and they put in a rush for my new glasses. 10/10 I even had my dad come in and schedule an appointment cause how amazing this place is! For now on SVS will be my go-to eye care place!!

I inquired about getting glasses repaired. It is understandable of this storm does not do so, but the lady was extremely rude and condesending. She was basically mocking me for having no recourse, and quickly became short so she could finish her donut. I don't need to be talked down to by a eyeglass sales person. Especially one who is so unwilling to help.

My glasses came apart when I was out of town on business so I stopped at a few local vision shops in Lansing to request assistance. I went to 3 big box store vision centers initially and all of them said sorry, can't help with the repair. I then found SVS Vision on Google, went into the store and explained my issue to Mary. She immediately said, sure no problem, I can fix that and went to work. In less than an hour, she had the repair completed and I was on my way. Pricing was very reasonable and her customer service and can-do attitude was incredible. I would go out of my way to go back to this location just because of Mary's professionalism and the overall positive vibe she projects. Hope SVS management knows how great of a resource they have with her on their Team. In today's world, it definitely isn't the norm to have someone go above and beyond like she does.
