Eye Care Optometry

Peered pressured my mom into buying glasses for almost $500. Not to mention paying to get lenses was far more expensive then to other locations ive been to in terms of getting it to protect from blue light or getting ones that transition.

I recently visited Eye Care Optometry and had an outstanding experience. The staff was incredibly professional and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The eye doctor was thorough and took the time to explain everything clearly, ensuring I understood my eye health and the options available to me which made me feel confident in the care I was receiving. WOW ! I had a wonderful experience getting my new glasses here, thanks to Billy and the entire team. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made me feel very welcome.Billy was helping me choose the perfect pair of glasses, he really cared about making sure I was happy with my choice. Also ,The doctor was thorough and professional, ensuring all my eye care needs were met. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for excellent service and a great selection of frames. I went there because they accepted my VSP discount. While the Optometrist was professional, so much about my experience has left me with a destroyed faith in their ability to carry out any sort of care. I was asked if I would consent to a procedure they could bill against my medical insurance, because they suspected that my cupped optic nerve could be a brain lesion. I consented, because that's a terrifying concept. Then the machine didn't work. They spent the better part of half an hour calibrating it and checking it, before it finally got running. Normally, I have patience for stuff like this, even after they upsold me on the glasses hard. Glasses that I take off at night because my vision feels less clear with them ON, since I've gotten them. Its the insurance billing calls. Constant "We can't get a referral. It's not backdated properly. Can you google the number for us a fifth time?" This is what pushed me into reframing everything into a more negative light. They'd double billed me originally for my first appointment, but I told them it could be money down for the follow up. I've cancelled the follow up, but I can't get a refund because staff "isn't authorized." I've been an upset customer / patient for weeks, and I've heard absolutely nothing from them, so I doubt they'll care about the bad review either. I wouldn't have written this if I hadn't already called my insurance multiple times on their behalf, been told they were all set TWICE; including once by Eyecare Optometry, just for them to call me back today and go through the same stuff. Healthcare is a nightmare and I don't have time for this. You probably don't either.

November 21st 2024 my daughter had an appointment and while the doctor that we seen was very kind and tried to explain everything he could I did realize an early red flag when he did my daughters eye exam he did tell me she has astigmatism in both eyes and in one eye is way worse than the other one which i knew but I wasn't offered a copy of her exam like I always get so I had to take a photo of it myself and found out that he vision is legally blind good eye is 20/200 and her bad eye is 20/400 and instead of warning me of this is had to hear it from her pcp. Which is okay, fine. But when I went to take my daughter to look at their glasses and the lady who helped us made my daughter feel rushed and she told me that he insurance inly pays for $150 for her glasses and doesn't cover her lenses she needed so I'd have to pay for that out of pocket. Okay I've never had that issue with her insurance before all the years my daughters been wearing glasses. Then we picked one she some what liked and after she told me the price I'd have to pay out of pocket it was WAY WAYYY more than I've ever paid. Then she comes back and says your insurance will pay for your 2nd pair in full and I've asked well just give me the 2nd pair as I dont have more than 200 dollars on me. She told me they can't do that, I needed to get the first pair and pay out of pocket. I went home and told my husband and he was like let's just go pay for it she needs it. We get there to pay they said they were sending it out that day. Now it's December 5th and they called me tonight saying they needed me to pay an extra 64 dollars because my insurance wouldn't pay for the lenses she needs. I called my insurance and they did inform me they never put in any type of glasses for her they only charged my insurance for the eye exam only and they told me that I'd have to call in the morning back to my insurance company so we can call up there together and get it fixed! They were lying to me this whole time! I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. They weren't trying to listen to me when I was explaining to them this didn't seem right they did something wrong. Then calls me back saying oh such and such said you had some questions. And I told him no i told her I'll check with my insurance because I know for sure they cover my daughters glasses frames and lenses. They got rude with me and I heard them talking crap about me because they didn't hang up fully. Never again! I would've been a great customer! But when I feel in my heart you're not being honest with your practice. I know something shady is going on. Still no glasses either! It's been almost 3 weeks and they didn't even send them in to the lab yet smh.

Me and my mom had a great experience! The staff there was super nice and welcoming! Doctor shaheen was very helpful and easy to talk to! Jo was also very nice and super helpful as well! I loved everything me and my mom we are both very pleased with the service! When I went in for my appointment Dr. Shaheen offered me a job! Since the staff was super nice it encouraged me to work there now that I am a worker there everyone is very comprehensive, nice, and very humble! My coworkers are super sweet and they are very attentive to each and every patients making sure they all leave satisfied! Every patient that walks in we treat them as if they were family all of us try our best to have our patients happy!

Helping a friend get new lenses in her frames. She's been coming here for 20 plus years. We've always had good experiences. This current experience was exceptionally good. Very organized and professional all the way around from the front desk to the optometrist. Waiting to get glasses and then will post update. But so far a very particular patient is very satisfied.

Forever my favorite eye doctor to go to. very professional and very sanitary. the doctor makes sure they perfect the issue youre having. when getting your glasses the people working are very friendly and also make sure you are satisfied with the product.
