ProMedica Physicians Eye Care - Monroe

I was referred to this office by my daughters pediatrician. Spoke to them 3 times in regards to my insurance and stated that I knew that they didn't accept my eye insurance and they said they could bill my medical insurance every single time with a 40 charge out of pocket. I get there and the receptionist was kind but whoever the rude woman was said I had to pay 120. Now I know why I am going back to Henry Ford for everything. Learn some. customer service etiquette.

This place has been a nightmare. Makes you wonder why the have no direct phone number for the office and you have to call an 800 number. My girls didn't have vision insurance, I knew this and so did they. I paid $65 each girl for an eye exam which was the cash price. I paid that day. I get 2 bills in the mail for each girl for an additional $190. They had found an old expired insurance that was attached in a file and ran that. Obviously it was declined. So they said since they ran the insurance and they didn't cover that I now owed the price that they would charge the insurance company. For months I called the 800 and explained the situation and they always said "ok we will make note and get back to you". I finally got sick and tired of the threatening collection bills that I went to the place and demanded they fix it! They tried to say that's how their policy works. No, you ran insurance that I told you was not active therefore they had no vision coverage. I felt like a Karen but eventually they did the right thing and fixed the situation.

Horribly rude staff. I canceled appointment before being seen by the doctor because the receptionist was so disrespectful. I am a kind person and refuse to be treated so poorly.

I cannot believe the things I have been hearing regarding this company. I too have been a victim yesterday, today and tomorrow. I will not tolerate this behavior, as will nobody else.

Great doctors and friendly staff. I really like the physician I see. I will keep going here.

Horrible experience since Doctor Reed retired, will not be going back
