Purchased a pair of frames with lens after my cataract surgery. Paid for the glasses and frames out of pocket. Noticed that the lens constantly were smudged or slightly cloudy despite cleaning them. Went back to try to have them fixed and explained it was difficult to see out of them due to smudges. Clerk cleaned them and said there, they are fine. Also a noticeable chip was developing towards the top and was told that was due to the glue. There was an offer to replace lens, but told me I needed to go back to Great Lakes to check prescription. Then I receive my Medicare notice that they had paid a small amount for my glasses. So basically I paid a portion of what was due along with Medicare. I've always had good luck with buying glasses and never had a real problem until whatever the ones I bought. Disappointed & now have to go somewhere else for new glasses.

Lily was wonderful and attentive! I received assistance in finding the right frames for me. She worked though an issue with my insurance with me and got me rolling with no hassle! Overall, an amazing and comfortable experience with Niles, MI Rx Optical and staff! If you are shopping around for eyewear, I recommend stopping in! I have been shopping with them for years now and plan to keep giving them my business!

I went to the Niles, MI store because my husband gets his glasses here. And I have been in a few times when my nose pads broke, and they were always replaced for free. I was pleasantly acknowledged as soon as I walked through the door. Lily M was very knowledgeable, informative, pleasant and helpful. She directed me to the style of frames I was interested in and she was right, I found what I was looking for. She made me feel like a valued customer. She helped me through the entire process. She was very patient with me. I am looking forward to receiving and wearing my new glasses. And I will be returning.

The minute my glasses broke at the YMCA around the corner in Niles, I knew I needed some quick help to be able to carry on my day. I called the nearest location for an optometrist and eyeglasses shop and I spoke with Lily who told me to come right in. After Ubering over, since I couldn't see well enough to drive, I met Tiffany. She took great care of me giving me some options with a difficult fitting given my lenses. She brought me a couple of different options to consider a different price points and once we make the selection, she went back, fitted everything together, and was back out in minutes. I was actually able to call the Uber driver to take me back because I hadn't gotten that far! Great service. Great selection. Very fair price

Customer service was great. Not rushed when it came to choosing our glasses and extras. Was happy with all testing besides everything becoming virtual.

Honestly, a 3 star is generous and probably because the doctor was actually very pleasant. But the other staff, not so much. After the exam I sat with the first lady that placed my order. She was decently pleasant, but made a couple snide comments here and there. The biggest problem was with the lady I picked up my glasses with. She was so rude and unhelpful that I had to lead the conversation to make sure the glasses fit right. Once she handed me the glasses, she just said, "ok you're all set. Have a good day." No help to ensure the frames fit, or weren't too tight on the nose or head or ears. Just bizarre compared to other places. After I questioned a blur I was seeing in the corner of my eye, she thought I had bifocal lenses and was quick to blame that. But I don't have bifocal lenses, which she realized once she actually looked at my order. Long story short, she just wanted me to pick up the glasses and leave. She had no interest in anything else. I'll probably go somewhere else next time.

Today I visited the Niles location and felt very unwelcome. There were no customers in the store when I arrived. They said they would be with me in a minute. When she approached me there were no basic questions asked like maybe what kind of frame etc. She didn't tell me about their promotions -nothing! I looked by myself for about 20 minutes at the glasses on the wall and noticed some in a case when I was leaving. But there was no one on the floor. All 3 in the back. After waiting I asked if I could see a pair in the case and she stated they were closing in 10 mins. I won't come here again. I am going to keep it local but with a location that values their customers.

They were amazing! They helped us an incredible amount and got us squared away with some new frames quickly! I thought I was going to be stressed out but Lily made the whole process stress free!
