I am beyond frustrated with this place. The list is long but first is the wait times, even if you have an appointment you could be in the waiting room for up to 2.5 hours after your scheduled time because they are so far behind. You can never get in touch with the actual doctor to speak with after you leave your visit. There was so much miscommunication with just picking up trial pairs of contacts. Then getting my bill after.....first they coded it wrong and for a routine annual eye exam it was $1400. The doctor charged me for "removing a foreign object" from my eye, in the middle of my appointment an eye lash got in my eye and we took it out and she billed me for it. Did not mention ANYTHING about putting that on my bill. Eventually i just paid the bill back in october after my visit was in July. Now in January, i just received ANOTHER bill for the same exact items but when I called they said the one i paid in October was the doctor and this one is from the facility. I have talked with billing and they instruct me to get ahold of the doctor. The problem is, I have messaged her on the portal and I havent gotten any response from my message on 8/19. Just called and left a message with the office to see if she can give me a call but it is highly doubtful at this point.

After seeing ophthalmologist May 21, appointment with optometrist set for Aug. 19. Waited 45 minutes past appointment start time, only to be told that the tech on May 22 had incorrectly noted I wore soft lenses and that they could not do gas permeable lenses and I would have to get an appointment in Ann Arbor.

My previous eye doctor was amazing. He retired & now I'm just waiting to see my new eye doctor. Have never had a problem with any rude staff. They've always been helpful. & Waiting in line for a bit to be checked in is because staff has to make sure everything is correct for your appointment. It's not as simple as just saying your name & being checked in. They need your name, date of birth, & need to make sure your information is still correct. I hear many patients actually update their info while checking in. Waiting 10 minutes isn't a big deal... we're called "patients" for a reason. Be patient. They're trying to help us.

Our son needed a replacement nighttime contact. It was incredibly frustrating to get a replacement ordered from this facility. I called numerous times to just place an order but they would never get back to me. My wife started calling and she had a similar experience. She then went in to talk with someone and they gave her the run around again but she refused to leave until she spoke with someone of authority. We've decided to ditch this group and plan to go elsewhere. Ironically, the doctors were great there but everyone we dealt with was subpar by a lot.

Absolute garbage customer service, they never call back after saying someone will contact you. Total lack of empathy and use the call center to field their calls so that you can never contact someone directly. Absolutely terrible. Do not go here. They fail to order your prescription then blame you, then ask you to come in for another exam after not calling to communicate that there was a problem with your order. Fraudulently make notes that they have made contact. They should be ashamed

DO NOT GO HERE FOR DRY EYES! I'm completely serious. The doctor made my eyes much worse and went through the worst pain and inflammation in my life. I cannot speak for other issues, but for my dry eye issue, he did not preform any necessary tests, he went off observation through a microscope only and kept giving me things to "try", which eventually led to my pain. My regular eye doctor did more for my dry eyes than he did and he was a specialist. I will never go back here and wanted to warn others. I've had issues with doctors in other specialties here as well, so I will never go back to U of M.

The front desk people are absolutely terrible. The doctors themselves are fine, but the front desk people are so bad that it ruins my experience every time. They are incredibly uneducated and are not fit to work in such a technical environment. If you can't even read a chart correctly to figure out how much a person should pay, you should not be working at a front desk. DO NOT COME HERE.

It was my first visit today and everyone was very nice and helpful, from checking in at the front desk to the appointment itself. Parking was a breeze and the signage indoors made it super easy to navigate where I needed to go. The wait time was just a few minutes. Very happy, thanks!
