Dr. Wilke and his staff at the small GRO location on Wilson Drive deserve a 5 star review. I've visited this location multiple times over the past few years. Each visit consists of an accurate appointment time, a comprehensive, yet efficient set of exams, and staff members who give you their time, attention, and respect. My favorite part of visiting this location with Dr. Wilke is that he's one of the doctors who is happy to discuss options with you and not push you in a specific direction, like upping your prescription a .25. He happily listens and answers all of my questions, all while remaining professional and personable. I have never felt talked down to or ignored while at a visit. Finally, I have never felt rushed to leave or finish my appointment. If you go see Dr. Wilke at GRO, I believe you will have a positive experience and feel comfortable coming back for your future visits.

I had an excellent experience with my first Grand Rapids Ophthalmology visit. The staff was extremely friendly and very professional. I definitely appreciated Dr. Wilke. He made sure that I understood the tests and the applicable results. I didn't feel rushed and I walked out of the office reassured in the status of my vision today and in the days to come.

It was fast and the doctor was nice. I waited for a bit but was no fault of the place. The customer in front of me was talking an awful lot, lol. Staff was all really friendly and nice. It was my first time getting glasses and l was a bit nervous (mostly thinking l might look awful in glasses) this is not the case and l still feel pretty. Doctor was really nice and friendly too!

Dr. Wilke is so down to earth and conversational during the visits. Our entire family (2 adults and 4 kids) see him for appointments and he relates so well to all of the age groups. We highly recommend him!!

The Dr. and his entire staff are so nice and made the experience so easy!! I felt very comfortable and after leaving the office I felt so positive about my selection of new glasses and they were helpful in helping me find very attractive frames...and they were right in price range I'd hoped to stay in!

I really appreciated how quickly Dr. Wilke got me in and out of my appointment. He made sure my current prescription still worked and didn't make me go through an entire exam again. Very friendly as well.

Even though I had to wait for my appointment because the staff was running behind (because previous patient arrived late) I felt everyone including Dr. Wilke took the time needed to perform my eye examination and to answer any questions I had. I will definitely continue to get my eyes examined at the Grand Rapids Ophthalmology.

My visit with the doctor Wilke was very good. Him treated me with respect, very friendly, funny and very professional. He is very knowledgeable and explains everything to make it easy to understand.
