Our appointment was at 7:30am but the doctor didn't come in until 8:30 after I had to go search for someone to ask how long the wait would be. We chose an early appointment because I had to go to work and my daughter is only 2 so long waits for visits are difficult. They also brought a student in without asking which normally I wouldn't mind but my daughter was already acting up a bit due to the timing so I would have appreciated the choice. Overall the doc was nice but the visit definitely could have been better.

I was admittedly, a little nervous when I made the decision after an exam at Grand Rapids Ophthalmology, to finally have strabismus surgery. After the exam and consultation with Dr Piipo I felt very comfortable and confident that I could trust her, and the decision made to get surgery done to finally correct the bilateral strabismus was the right one. Dr. Piipo and the staff at the Walker surgery location are the best! Just a day after the procedure I am able to get up and around with not much discomfort.

I went to Dr. Pippoo as I wanted to reinvestigate my diplopia, but she apparently only works on it if it's a muscular problem, which it seems it isn't. I'm getting an appointment with a different Dr., to explore other options. I'm currently schedulednto see Dr. Kessler on 4/28/25.
