I had switch my whole family over to this facility knowing they were a tier 1 with my insurance which means they cover more and I pay less! At first the office was nice and I was comfortable going there for my families and I, eye care. Until I started to receive large amount of bills and copays of exceeding my normal amounts. I received a voicemail stating I had an upcoming appointment but needed to pay my outstanding bill before or at the appointment. I called office asking why I had an appointment (don't remember making it) and they said 6 month check up. I questioned the bill and they gave me a number to call for billing dept. I called asking why I was being charged higher copay and not tier 1 price. The lady stated it was a tier 1 facility and not sure but on her part it shows tier 1 and it was my deductible for my insurance. I was ok with that explanation and paid the amount owed. I went to that said appt today and they said I still owed an outstanding balance. I told them I paid it already and the lady said it wasn't showing that and she would look into it. At check out, she didn't say anything about the outstanding balance but said I owed copay of larger tier 2 amount. I told her it should be tier 1 amount and she said idk, that's what it says. She then asked if I wanted to pay only the lesser amount and I said yes but need to figure out why it was charging me that amount. She gave me the same billing number to call. I called once I got home and the lady said I had another outstanding bill in the system and that my copay was at tier 2 pricing. I asked why tier 2 price when the reason I came to that facility was because my insurance said they were tier 1. I was told that the person who saw me was a tier 2 provider! I was extremely upset. I told her that it was wrong for the office to schedule me with a tier 2 provider when a tier 1 provider is in same facility. She said that the office girls scheduling don't know who is tier 1 or 2 when making appts and it's my responsibility to know. When I looked up my insurance noting the eye center was tier 1 and had myself and three kids transferred over for that reason alone and to get tricked this way is outrageous! Why the hell would I choose to see a tier 2 Dr over tier 1 and pay more for same care. They run my insurance before first appointment to verify insurance, they couldn't make note in chart alerting staff of what Dr we can see with insurance instead of letting me pay more out of pocket and extra costs per visit. Some might not care but I do! And what bothers me is that everytime I go there I see a ton of elderly patients there and makes me wonder how many he must be getting taken advantage of and how much they paying out with unnecessary costs. What also really makes me upset is that when the billing lady said it was tier 1 and I went to appt today, I will now have another bill due to being tier 2 visit. I was so pissed off after talking to them, I called the office back and canceled both my future appointments and also canceled all of three of my kids annual appointments for next year. They could've cared less and made it seem like it was a regular event that happens daily there.

Had laser surgery on my first eye today for glaucoma. Was very nervous, but Dr. Goldstein and his staff were very reassuring and explained everything step by step. I will be back for my second eye next week. Pain-free, quick and thorough.

Had an eye emergency this morning and they got me in the same day. Normally see Dr Goldstein but he was out of the office. I worked with Dr Braden today and she was great. Explained my issue and what needed to be done to heal it. Very happy as always with the experience.

Dr. Goldstein educated me on my first visit about options to rid me of cataracts and improve my vision. I felt very confident and he proved to be an excellent surgeon. I am in the recovery stage and all is going well and exactly as he said it would. I could not have asked for a better support staff. The office folks, nurses, anesthetist, and anyone else I interacted with were extremely pleasant, easy to deal with, kind and compassionate. The warm blanket given to me before surgery was certainly a plus!! Honestly - it was an altogether good experience and I would recommend Dr. Goldstein to anyone looking for relief from cataracts and other eye issues.

Dr. Goldstein has been taking care of my eyes for a long time and any time that I have had any questions he answered them immediately. His manner is the best around and he puts me at ease about my eyes. His concern is genuine and very calming. He and his staff have made it possible for me to continue to do all my sewing and knitting and crocheting crafts.

Dr. Goldstein has a great bedside manner and I wish I could just rate him in this review because it would be 5 stars. I trust him completely! I'm giving this 3 STARS because of the BILLING on cataract surgery. I opted for the Advance with Laser assist that I paid out of pocket and thought my insurance would credit to my out of pocket expence for the year - wrong! My mistake.. (Logically I assumed....The full amount would be sent to insurance then they kick back the none covered portion and it would be applied to my cash out of pocket). The second issue is that with the Laser assist procedure Dr. Goldstein faught with the device that held my eyelid down on the right eye (second eye done) and it was a very short time under the machine. It seemed like he did more by hand then by machine because of the issue. With my left eye, I experienced some unusual discomfort that felt like needles jabbing in my eye, which I was told never has it been a complaint by a patient before. OVERALL - my right eye cataract surgery was successful, my left not so much. But I am being told that some of the cloudiness and things that to me are blocking my vision...will correct its self. Here's to hoping it does. Bottom line - Understand how they submit the billing. And that the Laser eye assist technique isn't without some down sides to it. UPDATE: Great news that enhancements are included with the advance packet. This is a truthful review based on my personal experience. Agree! Everyone should know their insurance. AND take the time to discuss it with Dr. Goldstein's staff. :-)

Dr. Goldstein is a very caring and compassionate doctor. He takes his time with every patient that walks through the door and explains things to them in terms they can understand. I have worked with him for 5 years and wouldn't trust anyone else with my eyes. I highly recommend him to family and friends.

I am absolutely amazed by the quality and customer service offered by Dr Goldstein and his staff, and I can not thank all of them enough. There were virtually no wait times at my appointments and every time I saw Dr. Goldstein he always asked what questions I had and reassured me every step of the way, especially during surgery. He calmed me down and made surgery a breeze. I couldn't believe how fast the surgery was. Less than 1 min per eye. I am 26 years old and have been wanting eye surgery since I got home from my deployment to Afghanistan and I am so thankful I found Dr. Goldstein; I am honestly shocked how smooth everything went. I had my surgery yesterday, and today I had the post-op appointment. Less than 24 hours after surgery I now have 20/15 vision; better than 20/20!!! And I have no irritations or issues with my eyes. I am truly blessed to have found Dr. Goldstein. To anyone reading this and debating if they should get the eye surgery I would absolutely recommend at least talking to Dr. Goldstein. You will not regret it. Don't be like me and wait years, just get it done already, you'll be so happy once you do. To Dr. Goldstein and your staff, if you read this review I can not express how truly grateful I am to all of you. My only wish is I found you sooner! Thank you all so much
