Huron Ophthalmology

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional service that I received from each staff member at Huron Ophthalmology. However, I want to specifically acknowledge a staff member by the name of Aubrey. Not only is she professional and proficient in her role as Surgical Coordinator, I was particularly impressed by how graceful yet efficiently she relays crucial information to patients being scheduled for surgery. She has a kind, warm, and positive demeanor. The overall matter in which she handles her responsibilities greatly helped to reduce my anxiety. Each time I have sat down with Aubrey for the purpose of scheduling, I have received exceptional service. She's definitely an asset to Huron Ophthalmology, P.C.'s team. Happy Client, Susan F.

Huron Ophthy (HO) completed my eye exam and left HO with a new eye prescription. I did not think the exam presented me with clear and crisp sight when I mentioned it. After the exam, I ordered new glasses (regular & sunglasses) from a lab I've worked with and provides quality products (glasses when check are 100% of prescription). Like many others, I've experienced eye practices charging a significant amount of money for glasses. My wife had her eye exam at HO last year and looked at glasses in the HO shop. The verbal quote provided was very expensive. She purchased a similar pair from the lab I've used for less than one-third of the HO cost and they work perfectly. My glasses arrived and as soon as i tried them on I saw double vision & blurriness. I called HO, they rescheduled me for an exam redo with their "redo" optometrist, Dr. Lambert and determined that the initial prescription was significantly off! I returned the glasses to the lab to have new lenses installed using the corrected HO prescription, at my expense of approximately $300 (shipping and new lenses). I spoke with HO and asked them for a reasonable remedy. Bottom line from HO, now owned by a private equity group as I understand it, they would not reimburse me for the $300 additional out of pocket cost. They only offered to credit my $55 refractory fee. They did offer to replace the lenses using their lab, but that was not feasible as I explained to the HO rep because it would invalidate the warranty, the lab was already promptly working on the replacements, it would require me to spend more money and time to have them returned to me and, in the bigger picture, HO was only deflecting from the fact that HO made a mistake in their initial prescription and was not taking responsibility nor accountability for it. A very unimpressive experience.

Chelsea Lambert was truly wonderful. She took the time to identify the issue with my prescription and made sure everything was corrected. Her care, attention, and dedication made all the difference, and I'm so grateful for her help.

Huron Ophthalmology was a recommendation from a friend. I am happy with this decision. My husband and I saw Dr. Iain Decker, was a great experience as he was very thorough with his explanation and assessment. After our eye exam we were able to see Brenden for glasses selection. Talk about customer service! Brenden was very patient as we selected our glasses and even gave great suggestions. Overall I would highly recommend Dr Decker and Brenden if you are scheduling a new visit! We drive 30 mins each way to get here and have no regrets!

We saw Dr. John Barletta today in the emergency department, and he was amazing. He was so kind, attentive, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Even though it was a stressful visit, he made us feel calm and cared for. Truly one of the nicest and most professional doctors we've met. Thankyou, Dr. Barletta, for going above and beyond!

Had post up appointment with Dr. Lambert. She was very good and answered all of my questions. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a quick appointment with great patient care!

Dr. Wolfe is an excellent surgeon. I have much better vision now. Dr Lambert gave me a very good exam.

Dr Lambert was sensational. Her level of patient care was second to none. She has an amazing chairside manner. She even came out to the lobby to personally escort me back to the exam room. I thought that was so cool.
