Edit: After writing my review, VisionWorks automatically rescheduled me for next Friday same time. Seriously? Automatically assuming that I'm available same day and time without any contact or apologies for their poor customer service. No thanks, I'm taking my business elsewhere and would never recommend VisionWorks. I am writing to provide feedback regarding a recent experience at your location (somali staff). I arrived for an appointment today that I had mistakenly noted for 11:50 AM, only to discover it was scheduled for 11:40 AM. I fully acknowledge my error in not confirming the time. When I inquired at the front desk about any possible accommodations, the staff member informed me of an available slot at 12:00 PM. However, the manner in which this solution was communicated was unfortunately quite disappointing. The interaction was characterized by a condescending tone, including remarks about how "lucky" I was for the availability and a stern warning against further lateness. This was preceded by a lack of initial greeting or acknowledgment upon my arrival. A positive customer service approach in such situations can make a significant difference. For instance, a simple, proactive statement like, "I see there was a mix-up with the time. The good news is we have availability shortly and would be glad to fit you in at noon," would have resolved the issue professionally and preserved a positive client relationship. Instead, the interaction left me feeling undervalued as a customer. This experience, consistent with other past interactions, has unfortunately solidified my decision to seek optical services elsewhere with professionals who prioritize respectful and solution-oriented client care. I share this feedback in the hope that it might contribute to improved training and customer service standards for future clients.

UPDATE: I wanted to update my review after returning to this location several times since my original experience. I've noticed a significant improvement. The staff have been respectful and helpful during my recent visits, and I have not experienced the same customer service concerns I initially mentioned. After spending more time in the store, I also believe that staffing levels may be a contributing factor to the overall experience. It often appears they are understaffed, which likely leads to more transactional interactions rather than more personalized service. That doesn't excuse negative experiences, but it does provide some context. Based on my recent visits, I feel it's only fair to acknowledge the improvement and update my feedback accordingly. Original Post: This was my first time ever visiting a Visionworks, and unfortunately I don't plan on returning to the Blaine location. The atmosphere felt surprisingly hostile for a healthcare setting, and the front desk staff created an environment that made me feel not only unwelcome but genuinely uncomfortable. Uncomfortable enough that I'm honestly worried I'd receive even worse service after sharing this experience. Their behavior came across as cold, unprofessional, and lacking even the bare-minimum, basics of customer care. While my actual exam was great (the tech who handled my telehealth appointment was incredibly sweet and clearly doing her best while juggling multiple patients on her own), the experience at the front counter overshadowed everything. After my appointment, I waited at least 10 minutes just to check out, not because they were busy, but because the staff were wrapped up in unprofessional conversations. During this time, I watched another customer struggle with an associate over what seemed like a simple communication error. Instead of showing compassion or using any BASIC customer service skills to de-escalate the situation, the associate offered no apology and showed zero willingness to resolve it. The patient remained calm despite being treated without courtesy. When the patient left, the associate and the manager (who was now helping me) openly commented about her "writing another bad review," right in front of me, which is extremely unprofessional. The patient returned to ask for the manager, and instead of the manager finishing my checkout (I had already been there over an hour at this point), she immediately started arguing with the patient again. I ultimately had to interject and ask her to please complete my transaction so I could leave. Having to say that to a manager is absolutely absurd and inexcusable. I genuinely appreciated the exam tech and telehealth experience, but the front-desk behavior made me not want to return and to warn others to beware. The experience was uncomfortable, hostile, and far, far below any reasonable expectation of professionalism. 2-stars is generous.

This was one of the most humiliating and unprofessional experiences I've ever had. The manager, Christina, was outright rude and disrespectful. I paid $200 in the spring for a service clearly stated to last two years, yet only months later I was told I couldn't get my prescription unless I paid again for the same service based on a policy they never once mentioned. When I pointed this out, the manager accused me of lying, refused to give me her name, and even threatened to call security. This business has no regard for professionalism or basic respect. Save yourself the frustration and take your money somewhere that treats customers fairly.

Do not recommend. They use telehealth to find your prescription. Through the telehealth there are breaks where they force you to watch 5 minute ads. Was never told the appointment would be telehealth and if its okay. Poor communication and appalling force of advertisement.

The sales associates did an amazing job being attentive to finding me the correct glasses that fit my face and looked great.
