Why do I give this Southwest Eye Care five stars because I've been going to them for 30 years and probably 25 of those have been Chris. He takes the time every single visit to sit and talk for 20 minutes or so about what's happened in the last year of your life, how your health is. Couple years ago I had some kind of eye irritation and he gave me his cell phone number that if I was away on vacation, I could text him to renew my medication.

I try not to make it a habit to visit the eye doctor but once a year. This is my third. I hit my eye pretty hard while traveling. When I returned got an appointment very quickly. I got to see Dr. Freed quickly and after a through review of my eye he gave his assessment and shared his knowledge. Another great experience and clear message. Finally since moving to MN, I found dependable eye care. Thank you SW team.

About Chris Freed, O.D.

Dr. Chris Freed graduated from Michigan State University in 1993 with a major in biology and a minor in ecology. He then went on to graduate from Illinois College of Optometry in 1997. Originally practicing in Madison, WI with his wife Amy, Dr. Freed moved to Minnesota in 1998. In 2005 Dr. Freed opened Southwest Eye Care in Chaska with his wife, Dr. Amy Freed, and colleague Dr. Chad Dockter.
