Allina Health Coon Rapids Clinic

This clinic definitely has its ups and downs. I came to my appointment on time (actually a little early). I usually book 4:00 or 4:15 appointments because of my work shifts. Unfortunately, I believe the call center scheduled me for a room but not with a doctor, so when I arrived, I was told I had to reschedule for another day. That was frustrating, especially since I plan around work, but the front desk staff was great and very polite even though I was upset. I understand mistakes happen. I came back on a different day and was scheduled with Dr. R. Hasan. The nurse who brought me back was AMAZING -- so welcoming, kind, and reassuring. I explained how scared I was about getting my Mirena IUD removed since it was placed during my C-section. She reassured me that if I needed her, she would come back in the room. When the doctor came in, I explained the same concerns. Her response was, "Well, what do you want me to do?" That caught me off guard. I ended up asking for the nurse to come back because I needed support. During the procedure, it was extremely uncomfortable. When I reacted in pain, the doctor said she could "go down a size," and it happened again. I started crying and holding my breath. The nurse was the one coaching me through it, telling me to breathe and reassuring me that it was almost done. Even though the doctor couldn't the iud the nurse truly made the difference in that moment. Because of this experience, I don't think I'll be returning to this clinic. The nurse and front desk staff were wonderful, but bedside manner during vulnerable procedures really matters.

Dr. Dickinson had read my file before meeting with me for the first time, and I appreciated that. She was extremely thorough in asking me questions, making sure I got all vaccines, etc. needed before I go out of the country. She even made sure what she prescribed me wouldn't affect my liver negatively, as I have liver disease. I truly appreciated her, and her nurse, jack. The front desk staff, referral specialist, and lab technician were all very personable, patient, and kind with me as well! I am very grateful that I felt comfortable with all staff that worked with me today.

The Medical profession has changed so much in the last 6 years. Doctors no longer call you to give results of tests or procedures. Instead, the results are sent to My Chart for us to read. The Dr. will respond on my chart and respond by saying everything is normal without any kind of explanation. If it isn't normal a nurse calls and TRIES to explain what the next steps will be. She can't answer questions because she says she doesn't know? We ask for the Dr. V. Steussy to contact us so we can get answers. The Dr. sends a message on My chart about something totally different! She tells me I need to find a cardiologist that specializes in pulmonary hypertension and have a consult. No help with recommendations and no explanation what pulmonary hypertension is? We still have not had our other questions answered? I responded on my chart to please CALL ME that was 2 days ago. Yesterday a message on my chart said she was out of the office. Hopefully the Dr. will call today. Patients are no longer the priority. VERY SAD!

The staff here is great! I visited urgent care today and had a very good experience with their RN who checked me in. His name is Dave and he's fantastic. Thanks for hiring great people Allina. Please take good care of them. Thank you.

Dr Brittany Turk is a great doctor. I appreciate doctors that are good listeners as well as good explainers. And she is both. I always feel like I am being heard and that she cares about my health as she explains the results of various test results, even how it could impact my kids (heredity concerns). I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new primary doctor.

Great newly renovated facility, many specialty services and best clinic providers. Jen Hendricks is a wonderful PA. New pharmacy and eye care too. Always feel well taken care of whenever I visit this facility. Highly recommend to my friends and family.

Haley. Emily. Alisha Freeburg. What can I say about this team of amazing ladies? I came in with my mom today for her visit and this team simply went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help us. They listened. They understood. But best of all? They cared. We felt taken care of from the moment we got called in to stepping our foot out the door. They treated my mom with respect, dignity and kindness- and in today's world that is sometimes hard to find- especially in such a big clinic like this. But they made sure to give excellent care from beginning to end. We didn't feel rushed or dismissed and that is huge. We felt heard. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!

Knowledgeable Dr's. Would recommend Brittany Turk P.A. She had a real concern for her patients and their health. She has always been very thorough and has answered all my questions. I am always satisfied with her answers and treatments she suggests.
