Maple Grove Eye Doctors at Pearle Vision

I had an excellent visit at Pearle Vision. From the moment I walked in, the team made me feel welcome and comfortable. The doctor explained everything clearly during my eye exam and took the time to answer my questions. The staff helped me choose frames that fit my style and budget, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend! Blake and Abbie are very good people to work with. I used to go to Vision Works but decided to try Pearle Vision this time. The front desk employees were fantastic!! However, Dr. Purruccello (unsure I got her name right) was the biggest, most unexpected disappointment of my entire experience. I give her an F for failure. She went through the routine eye tests but it was like she sleepwalking through my appointment. Like she was simply bored. She asked a few intake questions & had me read eye charts, the usual. She then handed me my prescription and I left her office. THE END. It didn't occur to me until I had left the clinic that I had no idea what the results of my exam were. I was stunned that she never took the time to explain ANYTHING to me. Am I farsighted, nearsighted? Was my prescription considered strong? Am I going blind? How can I be expected to decode what was typed on that sheet of paper? I feel this Dr. is not the right person for the job. She has zero personality & zero people skills. And I don't believe she put in one ounce of effort to end the exam according to protocol and procedure. While I appreciate someone in the medical field remaining very focused on their job & towing the professional line, it is unacceptable that she didn't take the time to go over my results or explain anything to me. Or ask if I had any questions for her. Was she on opioids? Why the apathy? Isn't that part of a Dr's job? I came home & told my husband that I had no clue what my exam results were because the Dr. never even brought it up. He was in disbelief. I haven't had an eye exam for about 15 years so I had no idea what questions to ask. You just trust that the medical people in charge of your care to cross all T's & dot the I's and then you walk out the door feeling informed. Because of her, I am not sure I will ever be back.

We loved both of our doctors. The facility is updated and has modern equipment. They over confirmed our appointment with texts AND calls. Frames at Pearle are 3-5 times more than Costco. To be fair- Pearle has more frames. 2 pair out the door at Pearle- $900. Same prescription, 2 pair out the door at Costco under $300. That was with the insurance applied.

Accepted me even though there was an accident that caused me to be 12 min late, very quick exam and great frame selections. The doctor and staff were also nice and easy to talk to. It's been hard finding an eye clinic I love, so glad I tried Pearle Vision!

I visited this place to day in order to do my eye exam, the staff was very friendly and professional, the doctor explained everything clearly and answered all my questions. I felt comfortable during the whole visit. I highly recommend this clinic anyone who is willing to do eye exam.

Dr. Hume and the staff were very helpful and thorough. He gave me options, understanding my needs. They were also very patient with my 90+ relative.

Dr. Pirruccello is fantastic. She answered all my questions professionally in a way I could understand. She was efficient and heard all my concerns. Best eye doctor I've ever had!

Appointment was for 3pm 10/23. The first part of the exam went well. At 3:35 I contacted 2 people that worked there. Finally got to see the doctor at 3:42. Needless to say I was very angry. Paid for the contacts.i thought I was paying for 1year supply. At 4:30 Pearle called said that if I wanted I would have to pay more. And if I wanted 6 months I would have to pay $10 for shipping. Unbelievable. I thought the doctor was awesome. The staff needs to attend a customer service class
