If I could give zero stars, I would. Please think twice before going to this Visionworks location. I went at the end of 2025 because they had availability before January. There was no ophthalmologist on site, which was already concerning. While waiting for my exam in the darkened room, patients' personal information was displayed on a TV screen. That alone felt like a potential HIPAA violation. If your name is Dawn and you were there, your private details were visible to me. During my eye exam, which took place in a darkened room, the male employee conducting the exam was on his phone taking videos. I do not know if he was recording me or something else, but it made me extremely uncomfortable. I could not focus on the exam and ultimately walked out because I did not feel safe or respected. After leaving, I asked to speak with a manager, but no manager was available. I escalated the issue to corporate and filed a formal complaint. I spoke with a regional HR representative who told me she would "take care of it" and "this is not the first time we've heard this about this employee". When I later returned to to redo my exam, the manager was overly fake and unprofessional, even taking personal calls while I was standing there. When I came back again to pick up my glasses, she didn't remember who I was and was noticeably less polite. To make matters worse, the same employee who had been recording on his phone during my exam walked in to start his shift, making it clear that nothing had been addressed or "taken care of" at all. I do not need a generic response from Visionworks saying they are "sorry" or that someone will "look into it." I already did everything possible to report this and nothing was done about it. This location is unprofessional and, in my opinion, unsafe. I will be warning everyone I know not to give Visionworks their business. Hopefully this review saves someone else from having a similar experience.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but the Visionworks Maple Grove location was one of the worst service experiences I've had. My wife ordered prescription eyeglasses and not only was the order delayed, but it was also mixed up with my account. When the glasses finally arrived, she was simply handed the frames with no fitting, no adjustments, and no professional support. When she asked about it, staff told her they "looked fine as is," which is not acceptable for prescription eyewear. While we were in the store, we saw another customer asleep at the counter while waiting for an exam and others just lounging around. The overall environment felt unprofessional and poorly managed. This location truly needs immediate attention from Visionworks corporate leadership. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this store.

What a great experience my hubby and I had. Leah was AMAZING. she went above and beyond to help us out. She had some great ideas to save money to. Like using the rest of our money to buy sunglasses or something so we don't let our u care points ( money) go to waste. It was a nice experience. Only thg I didn't really care for is the video Dr. And the computer exam.

Worst customer experience ever. I was running a bit behind due to my baby having a mini meltdown my appointment was 10:20 I showed up at 10:26am . Yes I should've called I know but I was also driving from Ostego trying to make it in time. As I was liked in apologizing they laughed in the counter and the girl with glasses in a bun said. Sorry you're late and we cancelled your appointment. I was shocked never happened before mind you I have been going to this place for years. I said no worries and gladly left . I will take my business elsewhere. Someone has to retrain who ever is up front in regards to customer experience and interaction. NEVER AGAIN!

Not a good experience, and I won't be coming back. After ordering two pairs of glasses one for reading and one for driving ,it took about two weeks for them to be ready, which was acceptable. However, I had an issue with the reading glasses and asked if they could be adjusted or fixed. I was told they were not able to do anything about it. I also paid extra for a blue light blocking filter specifically for using a laptop and work monitor for my reading glasses. I was then told that the lenses do not cover that viewing distance, which makes no sense ,who uses a computer monitor as close to their face as a book? Overall, the lack of support and explanation was disappointing.

I want to share what a great experience and service I have received from the Maple Grove Visionworks location. Lea and her staff, Akilah and Talyn, were especially helpful recently in resolving a frame/lens fix issue for me and even stayed after hours to ensure everything was smooth. Thank you, Lea and team!

Extremely frustrated with this Visionworks location, specifically due to the actions of the manager, Leah. I was denied service, and employees, including the manager, openly discussed their commission struggles with each other in front of customers, which is completely unprofessional. As a customer, it is unacceptable to be turned away simply because we did not want or need to purchase additional products to meet commission goals. Leah, the manager I had been working with, nearly broke my glasses while "testing" them and was beyond reckless. Rather than prioritizing customer care, she chose to refuse service because our purchase did not meet her commission expectations. This behavior is misleading, unethical, and deeply frustrating. This experience goes directly against Visionworks' culture and stated values, which emphasize customer care, trust, and professionalism. This location appears to prioritize commission quotas over customers and is unwilling to provide service unless those quotas are met. I ultimately went to another Visionworks location, where I received proper service, confirming that the refusal at this store was unnecessary and inappropriate. Leah's actions reflect poorly on the company and do not align with the standards Visionworks claims to uphold.

This is my second appointment I made here at this vision work. The first time they called me and cancelled my appointment the same day, before my appointment which was fine. I rescheduled for the next Saturday which is today. I get here on time and the Dr is frazzled and say she may have to reschedule mind you I'm on time. It because they are running behind but it's only me and 1 other person as patients in the entire office besides 2 staff members. Thanks because now I will take my business elsewhere. This is not good business.
