Phillips Eye Institute - Minneapolis

I had both eyes done here with Dr. Goyle. (cataracts) I can see perfectly in both eyes now. All the nurses (Julie) and the rest are awesome. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Surgical team is awesome as are the Anesthesiologists. I can't say enough good things about my experience. You have my eternal gratitude and my recommendation. Thanks!!!

I had cataract surgery done a couple of years ago about more or less, in Elmwood Park New Jersey, my eyes are worse than ever before. The surgery was done. Went back they did nothing!! Making excuses and giving me worthless drops that didn't work. The place is out of control with the long wait I'm still looking for a professional ophthalmologist that can help my vision. I'm stuck with bad vision because of Phillips.I give them no stars for what they did to my eyesight. Very disappointed!

This review is specifically for the ramp security that was on duty today (1/26/2022 at 11:30 am). These men went out of their way to help me jump my car and it was a lot of work to get underneath my hood because the latch was broken and it was freezing cold! I am SO grateful! I don't know what I would have done without them!

Worse experience of any clinic I have been too. Not only did I spend 10 hours in the area for my eye surgery, it never happened. Because of their poor scheduling I had to leave and not have the surgery. At one point the only people left were myself, my wife and the staff still working on 2 other people. Everyone else had left, including the janitorial staff, was waiting for them to ask me to lock up on the way out. Because of their lack of quality, communication I left, I couldn't stay in the cities as I lived over an hour away and had kids to get back to. This led to my retina fully detaching instead of a small one, which led to extreme hemorrhaging in my eye, completely blind and having to wait 2 more days before I could get in. Thankfully I was able to be rescheduled, by my own means as VRS blain and Phillips did nothing and was able to go to Edina. If you want top notch service and care, that is where you go. Not this hole in the wall facility run by Allina. Learn communication with your people waiting for surgeries. Don't tell me you don't know why I'm not in yet, that's your job. Dr. ryan was of no help and his staff were useless in telling me what was going on. The real fun part, you have no way to complain to VRS blaine or Phillips except here, phone calls were not answered, no email contact ability, little scared to hear feedback I take it.

I have been to the Phillips eye institute four times now. Each experience is great. The staff is very thorough and friendly. Our eyes are too important to not have a good doctor examine them regularly. And then when surgery is recommend or needed, this is where I want to go!!

I actually did get past the automatic voice by pressing zero repeatedly. I was then told that there are no doctors' offices there. Eye doctors use the surgical facilities, but they don't offer eye services. They merely support doctors. Consequently all they could say was, and I quote: "Good luck finding a doctor!"

I had laser vision correction performed at Phillips Eye Institute a couple of years ago. From checkin to checkout all staff were professional, knowledgeable and put me at complete ease leading up to, during and after the procedure. My surgeon, Dr. Keith Carlson, performs all of his surgical and laser vision correction procedures at Phillips Eye Institute and now I understand why...they are simply the best when it comes to any procedure that is related to your eyes!
