I waited too long to talk to a doctor about my eyes and cataracts. I thought it was an old person's condition. He laid out the whole process, timelines, the risks, and never made me feel old. The fact that other doctors would be performing my operations, but encouraged by knowing I would see him in my future follow up and care. If he's my primary eye care doctor, I am confident in anyone he recommends to do my operations

Emily in surgery is the best - makes you feel comfortable & is funny. Dr. Riedel, Simply the Best!! Always smiling, caring, explains everything very well, A Great Surgeon! Has a comforting way! I trust him totally, he's the Dr. I would only see for any eye surgical needs. He did both of my eyes for cataract surgeries & today my laser procedures on both eyes. Dr. Patrick Riedel is a board-certified ophthalmologi with Minnesota Eye Consultants. He is fellowship-trained in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma and cataracts. In addition, he is specifically trained in multiple refractive surgery techniques such as LASIK, PRK, and refractive implant lenses. As an assistant clinical professor of ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Riedel is actively involved in the clinical and surgical education of residents and fellows. He is an instructor in ocular pharmacology at Regions Hospital, and a consultant for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Minneapolis.
