Swoop Eye Care

My experience at Al Swoop Eye Care was phenomenal! When I first walked in, I was met by a young, diverse, professional, reception staff. Immediately, I didn't feel like I was at an old school eye doctor. The physical space was modern and bright. I didn't have to wait long to be seen. The doctor and technicians were always explaining each step of the process, which made me feel comfortable. The doctor was incredibly knowledgeable about ny condition. Although he used a ton of medical terminology, he always doubled back to give me a concise explanation that I could understand. The entire staff was highly credentialed and professional, while being accommodating and down to earth. They even gave me information about my next steps after the visit. I never felt pressured or excluded from any step in the process. I don't write reviews... Ever! And I don't want to sound corny, but this experience really changed my perception about going to a doctors appointment.

I was a first-time visitor at Swoop Eyecare, and the experience was fantastic. Adrian helped me from start to finish and was incredibly friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. I brought in a prescription from another provider, and they re-verified it on the spot. Adrian made picking out frames easy and completely stress-free, helping me find styles that fit my face, personality, and budget without any pressure. By the time I left, I had a pair of glasses I was excited to wear and full confidence that my eye health was in good hands. I felt truly taken care of. Adrian and the team were wonderful from beginning to end. Highly recommend Swoop Eyecare!

What a great experience! Staff was friendly and helpful. But most importantly, the issues that I had been having with my eyes were addressed thoroughly and competently. Everything was explained carefully to me and I knew what to expect in the future. I highly recommend Swoop Eye Care. They treat you right.

Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. They were very patient very well informed as well as as one out of their way or should I say good things in a way that was a very pleasant experience the gentleman that put my order in realize that I could have my glasses transition when I go outside into sunglasses and I was unaware of that and they also informed me of a lot of options. They were very patient very helpful. Overall, this whole experience was really great. Staff is very pleasant facilities is very clean. I would recommend them everyone to give them a chance you would not be disappointed.

I was referred to Swoop Eye Care by a physical therapist at Ridgeview in Waconia, MN due to abnormal eye movements, dizziness, and balance issues. I was seen by Dr. Wallerich in November 2025. During this appointment, Dr. Wallerich observed my abnormal eye movements and advised that I order two pairs of glasses: one pair for computer work & one pair for daily use with corrective lenses (bifocals) Dr. Wallerich stated that the corrective lenses would, over time, help correct my eye movements by refocusing them to where they should be. He also referred me to Dr. B at Park Nicollet, a specialist in this area, as he felt the issue required further evaluation. After leaving the appointment, I questioned whether I should wait to order the glasses until after seeing the specialist, in case the treatment plan changed. I messaged Dr. Wallerich that same evening asking this exact question. He told me to order the glasses right away, which I did. My appointment at Park Nicollet took place in early January 2026. During this visit, multiple tests were performed. One of the doctor's associates specifically stated that the corrective glasses Dr. Wallerich prescribed would not help and could potentially cause my eyes to turn inward (cross-eyed) over time, making them worse. The doctor also stated--both verbally and in writing--that the glasses should be returned, as they were not useful. Their team is recommending eye surgery to correct the alignment and eye muscle issues. I contacted Swoop Eye Care regarding this, as I was understandably upset that I had been advised to purchase glasses costing over $1,000 that I was later told could be harmful. On two separate occasions, I was told I would receive a call back after Dr. Wallerich reviewed my notes. I never received a call. On my third call, I was connected to his "office manager," who informed me that Dr. Wallerich wanted me to come back for an office visit so he could explain why I should wear the glasses he recommended. I declined. I do not need someone to convince or defend their recommendation when another specialist--whom they referred me to--has stated that the glasses could potentially damage my eyes. Any reasonable person would not wear glasses after being told they could cause harm. I did ask to be compensated for the glasses, but was told this was not possible because I purchased them closer to home. I am now left with glasses I cannot wear. This is an issue Dr. Wallerich should have addressed personally. Instead, it required multiple follow-up calls on my end and was ultimately pushed off to an office manager. If you choose to visit Swoop Eye Care, please do so with caution, as my experience involved poor follow-up, conflicting medical guidance, and significant out-of-pocket expenses for treatment that another specialist--whom they referred me to-- advised could be harmful.

Awesome group of employees working here! I've had eye exams in the past but never as thorough as my Swoop appointment. Very excited to see with my new glasses!!
