I went to Wimmer for over 30 years. I no longer live in St. Cloud, and miss them dearly. Jon, Joel, and Ryan gave great attention to every detail of finding the perfect pair of glasses for me. Then they spent the time and patience of working with my daughter. I could not recommend a better place to go for glasses. There is no place out there like them, trust me I have tried my fair share.

5 stars for sure! Because a pair of glasses I bought online was not comfortable, I went in to Wimmer Opticians to see if I could have the lenses taken out of that frame and put into an an older frame that I owned which is comfortable. I was told this could not be done due to the newer lenses being not quite big enough. John Wimmer (son of the founder of Wimmer Opticians, I found out later) asked where I got them and I said online. He said he could try adjusting them to see if he could make them more comfortable, and I agreed. He spent around 3-4 minutes making adjustments to the nose pads and the frame itself just a bit, trying them on me after each adjustment. He then cleaned the lenses and gave them back to me and didn't charge me for this. I discovered that they accept my eye insurance (EyeMed), so I know where I will be going for my next exam . . . and possibly a pair of glasses! Very friendly and helpful!

They have one of the best customer service i have ever seen. So my glasses broke the night before while i was going to bed. I worked the next morning at 8am. No other place was open until 9 am besides them. I went there right at 7am and was greeted upon entering. My glasses were fixed right away in 10 minutes for no charge. I insisted the owner to charge for it but he said it was too small of a work to charge. I would definitely recommend and go back to them for my spare pair of glasses. Please support the local businesses.

I highly recommend Wimmer Opticians! My children and I had a great experience. Dr. Emily was amazing. Everyone there is very friendly, polite, knowledgeable and just down to earth. Very helpful and informative when picking out glasses as well. Helped us stay in our budget.

Mom had a terrible fall today in which she broke her nose and needed stitches along with breaking her glasses. After I picked her up from the emergency room we went to Wimmer Opticians and thinking I was going to have to buy new glasses, they never tried up selling me like other places I called but provided such an act of kindness on a day that was not going well by fixing my mom's glasses at no charge but the way they treated my mom you could tell this is a small business that actually cares about their customers!

Doctor Emily is absolutely amazing! She is the best eye doctor we've ever found ~ She is so professional, thorough, informative & friendly! We leave there feeling so good as if we've just seen our physician ~ An appt well worth it in every way! Everyone @ Wimmers has been wonderful, helpful & efficient!

I just had my first appointment at Wimmer Opticians. After a couple of bad experiences with other eye care providers, I found everyone at Wimmer friendly and courteous. I was made feel like a customer that had been coming there forever. I received a very thorough exam and was given multiple options to help me achieve the best vision possible. Thank You!
