Staff was friendly, doctor was thorough. Don't accept vision insurance because they are out of network, so you'll end up paying for glasses and services that are covered in other offices. Last time I'll be going there.

Well first I went partially blind, which was a reasonable time to panic a little. I called another place and was given an appointment the next day but no direction or reassurance and things were getting worse by the second. I lost my peripheral vision.
Then I called Eye Clinic North. You guys. Crystal was so helpful and kind on the phone. She asked all the right questions and then put me on hold to get input at the clinic. They told me I was probably having an ocular migraine and it wasn't an emergency but also gave me options to call if things changed after hours. She changed the whole trajectory of my panic. What a little angel! They gave me an appointment the next day to follow up and make sure it wasn't more.
Dr. Sipola was wonderful. Kind and reassuring. Staff were welcoming and professional. The exam found nothing exciting and it was confirmed to be an ocular migraine. If you've never had one I don't think I can describe it. But the great news is I'm not blind and I have an awesome new eye clinic!

My husband and I went camping up in Gilbert, MN and realized I forgot my glasses & contacts at home- 3hours away... I called Eye Clinic North in Virginia, MN and they were able to contact my eye clinic & get my prescription/eye information. They even transported new trial pack of contacts from the Hibbing location to Virginia for me to pick up the next morning to get me through the weekend!! They were extremely nice, compassionate, and understanding when speaking on the phone with them! 10/10 amazing customer service!! So grateful they saved our weekend & me being able to see!

Been going to Virginia office for 3 years now. Best and most thorough eye exams I have ever had in my 65 years...and I thought I was doing good in Twin Cities for 40 years. Hannah is the best! Never rushed, answers every question I have, explores all treatment options and always cheerful. She diagnosed my chronic clogged oil gland problem when no one else did. They sell high quality eye home treatment products but never pushes them on clients. Front office staff is great too. Thanks

Eye Clinic North in Virginia MN makes me wish I had more excuses to go to the eye doctor. Every visit the staff is so professional yet so fun and friendly. They always do a great job with the eye exams and they are always innovating and learning. They have kept the practice up with modern products (contacts, glasses, equipment) without losing their small town charm. Even with extremely thorough precautions due to the pandemic they kept the experience relaxed and fun. Can't wait for my eye exam next year!

The appointment was too long. The eye doctor came in, a very unprofessional young woman in yoga clothes, and completed the exam. She said she needed to dilate my eyes. She put in the solution and waited a few minutes. She then got up and walked across the hall and began another patients exam, leaving me to wait.
I arrived 10 minutes before my 10:10 appt. It was almost 11 when i walked out. When she called me a few minutes later, she tried to lie, shirking responsibility rather than being accountable (another display of her immaturity.) Saying that she DIDNT leave me waiting for her to do someone else's exam while making me wait.
Doctors fail to do the minimum when they refuse to take into account how their actions affect others. Hopefully they change.
